Our team collaborates with product strategy and product managers to govern readiness standards in achieving principles (compliance, privacy, security) by design for what PwC’s technology assets require to be successful in the market. They provide guidance for product development across the lifecycle (ideation / strategy through commercialization / monetization). Additionally, they facilitate market readiness for technology assets overall, as changes occur to assets or market conditions throughout the asset’s life cycle.

Technical Business Analyst – Senior Associate

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand product strategy in order to document

business, functional requirements and non functional requirements.

  • Take customer business requirements and translate them into technical

requirements for implementation.

  • Document and maintain the documentation with usability guides, process flows, and

detailed requirements.

  • Work closely with the development team to ensure that epics and user stories are

appropriately defined, the work is organized to Agile standards, and includes well

written acceptance criteria.

  • Participation in daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, sprint demos, and

retrospectives along with owning and running backlog refinement meetings.

  • Prioritize tasks and bugs for upcoming sprints and refine the product backlog based

on knowledge of Stakeholder/Product Manager’s needs.

  • Create, maintain, and manage epics and user stories based on requirements (in

Jira/Confluence, Azure DevOps).

  • Review QA test cases to ensure proper coverage of application use-cases.
  • Work with the Agile team throughout the product development, testing, and

implementation phases to ensure requirements are clearly understood.

  • Perform initial screening of newly developed features to ensure they were built

according to the design specifications and that implementation meets business

needs.

  • Work with collaboration tools used by teams (Jira/Confluence, Azure DevOps, Miro,

etc.).

Skills and Experience:

Mandatory Skills:

  • Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or proven record of success as a team leader.
  • Knows their stakeholders and their expectations.
  • Communicates often, openly, honestly with customers, stakeholders, and team

members including scrum masters and project managers about a wide variety of

topics.

  • Product and development experience with hands-on understanding of how products

are conceptualized and realized through the software development life cycle

(SDLC).

  • Collaborating with teams to drive gathering, defining, and organizing business

requirements including user stories and acceptance criteria for use by developers to

implement a capability.

  • Knowledge of Agile end to end process and hands-on understanding of how

products are delivered through agile frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe, Extreme

Programming, etc.

  • Being able to select the appropriate analytical techniques for the problem at hand.
  • Collaborating with business teams to help outline high level business strategies,

and objectives.

Good to have Skills:

  • Be a storyteller and able to understand and express the value to the market, its

customers, and against its competitors.

  • Determines methods for risk and conflict resolution.
  • Thorough knowledge of and experience with automations.

Experience:

  • Ideally 6 to 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline

(BE, BTech, MCA).

  • Proven success in a role performing business and data analytics both as an

individual contributor and team member, identifying and addressing stakeholder

needs.

  • Definition of data management requirements, including translating and documenting

needs, assessing data, and implementing appropriate data solutions, & data

warehousing principles and methodologies.

  • Works closely with solution architects, developers, product managers, and product

support to deliver new automated processes to replace manual processing.

  • Identifying and designing appropriate automation workflows.
  • Creates scalable and efficient process automation workflows that identify & create

reusable automation components.

  • Adhere to framework for automation projects to ensure manageability and

maintainability of automation operations.

  • Identifying and addressing business needs: actively participating in business

discussions and meetings; and, managing engagements, including preparing

concise, accurate documents and maintaining project economics while maintaining

flexibility for unanticipated issues.

  • Proven ability and success in utilizing written and verbal business communication

skills, including interacting with firm staff and/or management within a professional

business services environment.

  • Analyzing large and complex data sets, including a demonstrated thorough aptitude

for conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses.

  • Demonstrating an execution-oriented mindset, and ability to think independently to

solve problems, comfort with ambiguity.

  • Prioritizing and handling multiple tasks, researching and analyzing pertinent data,

and communicating effectively in written and verbal formats to various audiences

(including various levels of management) in a professional business environment.

  • Understanding how the application of analytical techniques correlate to business

value.
