Position Summary

We're looking for a multi-disciplined brand designer specializing in graphic design with a background in motion graphics. Your insights and ideas will contribute to elevating our brand experience on a daily basis and push the boundaries of creativity for the brand. Your day-to-day work will call for best-in-class creative output intended to inspire our customers and ensure a consistent brand direction with external and internal stakeholders.

Brand Designer (Timberland Americas)

You will be a trusted member of our Americas marketing team, reporting directly to the regional brand marketing Creative Director. You will interact with an enthusiastic team with huge ambitions to move the brand forward, partnering with other members of the regional marketing team to conceptualize and bring to life a consistent brand identity across all brand marketing channels and platforms. 

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

  • Create and maintain brand consistency in alignment with the Brand Direction Guide throughout all on- and offline channels globally across the Global Marketing organization 
  • Partner with the Creative Director and internal creative team to develop and deliver creative concepts related to brand campaigns, photography/video direction and product storytelling. 
  • Create static and motion content for social media, eComm, digital comms and retail experience.
  • Create Keynote and PowerPoint presentations for internal and external meetings and reviews

How you will do it:

  • Utilize a diverse range of design tools to conceptualize, present, and articulate ideas from inception to finalization.
  • Proficiently navigate Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, with additional experience in After Effects. Familiarity with Premiere Pro, Keynote, and PowerPoint is also desired.
  • Execute final toolkits and build production files for seasonal campaigns.

Skill for Success

Years of Related Professional Experience: 7 years

Formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees, such as a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field, are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements. 

What we expect you already know/have:

  • A demonstrated ability to work with a team and a must-have track record in executing tasks/projects 
  • Knowledge of the brand design process, production procedures, creative suite applications and editing software such as After Effects and Adobe Premiere. 
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and design a variety of deliverables.
  • A firm grounding in design principles and an understanding of typography and design theory 
  • A strong understanding of color theory and best design practices for color usage on product 
  • Must possess effective communication and teamwork skills 
  • Must have good presentation skills with the ability to articulate the strategy behind design concepts and how those concepts meet the strategic objectives 
  • Possess strong conceptual and verbal skills 
  • Extensive experience managing and estimating personal time outlays for each project 
  • Advanced skills and experience in visual design and awareness of current technologies 
  • Proficient in Mac OS, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Keynote and PowerPoint
  • An overall understanding of the outdoor market and competitive landscape.
  • Possess a solid graphic design portfolio.
  • A proven ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environments

Hiring Range:

$68,000.00 USD - $85,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
