Position Overview

The Senior Manager, Infrastructure Expansion coordinates and drives the expansion of all infrastructure needed to support establishment of new direct markets for Exact Sciences outside the US and to introduce products into new markets. With support from the company’s project management office, the incumbent orchestrates the activities of other functions such as IT, Operations, Customer Service, Human Resources, Facilities, Finance, and Legal to open new establishments and provide the operational infrastructure – in the broadest sense -- for new product launches. 

The position will require frequent travel to the Swiss headquarters in Baar.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Developing a comprehensive high-level understanding of the key operational capacities needed in a new establishment or for new product launch, such as information systems, finance processes, specimen shipment, human resources benefits and processes, and physical plant.
  • Working with relevant functions to design cross-functional roadmaps for building operational infrastructure for launching new establishments or products.
  • Driving cross-functional execution of plans for building infrastructure for new establishments or products.
  • Developing checklists and playbooks for operational launching of new establishments or products.
  • Seeking efficiencies in operational launches.
  • Measuring operational launch performance success and continuously improving launch strategies and tactics.
  • Contributing to evaluation of expansion opportunities with experience and data on the timelines and costs of forming new establishments or launching new products.

Minimum Qualifications

  • University degree (Master 2 or equivalent).
  • 7+ years of Project Management experience.
  • Sound written and oral communication skills.
  • Fluency in English, additional relevant language skills preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple functions and cultures.
  • Experience leading complex, multicountry projects involving a wide range of subject-matter experts and team skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with medical device / IVD operations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Familiarity with a range of business processes in a service-based business, such as logistics, order management, and order-to-cash.
  • Familiarity with issues in the screening for and treatment of cancer.

Physical Requirements

  • Willing and able to travel frequently and be responsive/available after hours and on weekends, as necessary, especially to manage time zone differences.
  • Able to use computers daily in an interactive manner for extended periods of time and up to 8 hours per day.
