GENERATION NI – Technical Support ENGINEER

Our NI Technical Support Engineers provide highly qualified technical support to both external and internal customers. NI Technical Support is the key-value added service that ensures our customers success and their repeat business. As a Generation NI Technical Support Engineer, you will be trained to deliver that essential client support. You will gain a deep knowledge of NI products and quickly apply that expertise to solving our customers' problems and challenges. After completing our world class comprehensive corporate and functional onboarding program you will grow in the role to provide professional technical consulting and develop your skills to become a recognized instructor of the NI Customer Education Portfolio.

  • Provide timely, accurate and effective solutions to technical problems on all product lines for our global customer base, using modern virtual communications technology.
  • Provide technical consulting on application architecture and code/design reviews for our key customers.
  • Provide customer onboarding guidance on the installation and functionality of NI software, hardware, and support products.
  • Deliver outstanding professional customer education courses on NI core product lines at NI offices or via onsite client-based assignments
  • Collaborate with all team members and support our internal customers:
  • Sales: Provide technical support, develop Proof of Concepts (POC's) and above all use your unique customer insights to generate highly qualified sales leads.
  • Marketing: Create, review and improve our NI customer facing online content. Ensure “on track” focus by attending seminars and add value by presenting to user groups
  • Have fun with the team by playing or just supporting the NI Budapest mixed football team and preparing to win the annual match against NI Debrecen.
  • Utilize our unique Hybrid working mode to come into the Budapest office 2 or 3 times a week and ambush the site leader, whilst demonstrating your skill in NERF battle tactics.

You are the perfect Generation NI Technical Support Engineer if you have:

  • Technical aptitude and a thorough understanding of electronics and high-level programming languages
  • Experience in programming (C++, Python, .NET, NI LabVIEW etc.)
  • Automotive experience/knowledge (CAN, XNET, NI VeriStand, etc.) is a plus
  • Must enjoy working with people and contributing to the team success as well as working tenaciously to meet or exceed personal goals
  • Technical & Professional knowledge & skills with a relevant degree to prove it.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a kind nature and an eagerness to help others
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and German to C1 level 
  • Demonstrated passion for learning and willingness to step out of your comfort zone and put yourself in unfamiliar situations
  • Proactive/can do attitude
  • Organized and disciplined in managing your time and your work
  • A customer centric attitude and mindset is the core of your motivation
  • Experience in instrumentation & control, industrial automation is preferred
  • Familiarity with NI hardware and software is preferred
