About the Role

As a key member of the demand planning team, you will work closely with key commercial stakeholders to develop robust and accurate demand plans for the products in the portfolio of brands that this role is responsible for. You’ll work with Regional and Global supply chain colleagues to ensure target levels of inventory are maintained in ANZ National Warehouses in order to support demand plans and act as supply chain SME within cross functional project Teams to deliver any new products, product changes, brand acquisition or divestments as required. This is a fixed term assignment until the end of May 2025.

Other key responsibilities of this role include :

Demand Analysis and Planning

  • Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to create the sales forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and inventory levels).
  • Establish and utilize best methods (statistical models and software tools) in creating forecasts and respective inventory targets.
  • Analyse historical data, trend analysis, product life cycles, and marketing activities. Determine impact to potential demand and adjust schedules accordingly.

Supply Planning

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure product availability while minimizing the supply chain cost
  • Review Inventory coverage for all SKUs, create all Delivery notes, coordinating with site Planners with any supply delays, ensure the product arrives on time
  • Understand and manage complexity of products portfolio (Narcotic products with licences, Cold chain products)
  • Inventory Management: Develop inventory stocking strategies to minimize obsolesces risk and stock out risk
  • Ensure regular review of critical Master data with Global teams to maintain optimal supply & inventory management (Safety Stocks, Transport & Goods receipt Lead times, MOQ, …)

Integrated Business Planning

  • Lead Cross Functional Demand Review meetings (Marketing, Business Intelligence, Finance) reviewing recommended sales forecasts and inventory goals (emphasis on brand transitions, new product introduction, and promotions).
  • Make recommended adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends, through scenario discussion.
  • Ensure agreement on supply strategy, then shared with Regional / Global organisation through forecast propagation and regional demand review meeting
  • Collaborate with Marketing Operations to support Life Cycle strategy around a brand (launches, LOE…), ensuring Demand Forecasts propagated to sites support operationally the Brand Strategy

Collaboration

  • Develop strong relationships with key business partners (local, regional, Global)
  • Maintain / Develop Strong collaboration with main wholesalers through monthly /quarterly meetings reviewing KPIs and opportunities for improvement
  • Ability to relate to people from all levels in the organisation from warehouse to CEO.
  • Ability to build trust in all stakeholders and influence forecast figures by having expertise in sales trends

Reporting

  • Relating and measuring the impact of forecast accuracy
  • Prepare, report, and communicate forecast and inventory measurements to management (forecast accuracy, inventory plan vs. targets).
  • Define and measure key metrics to drive world class supply chain performance
  • Designing and generating weekly and monthly statistical forecast reports

Cost reduction and process improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement and progress toward strategic initiatives through active participation and leadership.
  • Continuously improving forecasting techniques, method, and approach
  • Ability to engage senior management and propose system improvements
  • Proactively facilitating, re-engineering, best practices & consensus between functional experts
