Job Summary:

The Office of Medical Education at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Course Coordinator and Statistical Analyst / Senior Staff Assistant. The successful candidate will:

  • Create surveys.
  • Generate survey reports.
  • Analyze survey data.
  • Distribute survey reports.
  • Coordinate the CFA (Course/Unit Faculty Assessment) for Foundations I and II process, including:
  • Random selection of students
  • Post relevant information
  • Coordinate CFA meeting for students and faculty
  • Gather and distribute CFA reports and responses
  • Coordinate SLC (Student Liaison Committee) meetings and take minutes
  • Support other members of the assessment team with the following:
  • Create and order exams
  • Administer and proctor exams
  • Compile grade data
  • Complete special projects as needed
  • Maintain student database
  • Initiate changes in student grades
  • Support the Academic Promotions Committee and the Academic Support meetings

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skill set; very strong knowledge and experience with Excel is needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with survey software, such as Qualtrics.
  • Work experience in a medical school or other higher education setting. 

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday; 8:30am to 4:30pm

SL-3

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience and qualifications
