IT Project Manager (Information Security profile)

The successful candidate will work in Chubb’s new Technology Hub in Thessaloniki. The hub launched to deliver innovative technologies to enhance the customer experience, increase efficiency, and accelerate Chubb’s digital transformation. Technical engineers and developers employed at the center will drive initiatives in areas such as intelligent process automation, machine learning, cloud, and data analytics, as well as cybersecurity and modernization of infrastructure systems. This new facility will join Chubb Development Centers in the United States, India, and Mexico. 

Initially we are looking for an IT Project Manager with a specialization in Information Security area

The Opportunity

Your Responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to:

  • Address business challenges in the intersection of process and technology
  • Focus on projects aiming to improve security controls for IT environment 
  • Deliver key messages with clarity, confidence, and poise to instill confidence in project stakeholders 
  • Lead and motivate the team 
  • Apply a global and diverse perspective to problem solving 
  • Plan and execute IT projects throughout the different project stages: from initiation and planning, to monitoring and reporting project execution and finally to project closure 
  • Communicate project expectations and results to all stakeholders in a timely and clear form 
  • Manage expectations and find positive outcomes in difficult situations 
  • Manage project dependencies and capacities 
  • Gain expertise on best practice approaches in project management to improve the efficiency of project implementation and project communication 
  • Develop and share reusable assets that can be readily applied to new projects 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • University Degree in, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or related field 
  • Proven experience of at least 3 years in Project Management for IT projects preferably in the Financial Services and/or Insurance Sector and digital trasformation 
  • Proven experience in delivering cyber security-related IT projects would be considered an advantage
  • Good understanding of information / cyber / IT security principles, based on industry-recognized standards (e.g., ISO 27001)
  • Solid technical background allowing effective management of projects in areas such as vulnerability remediation, implementation of encryption tools, improvement of authentication methods etc.
  • Thorough understanding of Project Management methodologies 
  • Certification/Accreditation in Project Management (e.g., PMP, Prince 2) would be considered a plus 
  • Experience with Project Management tools (MS Project or other equivalent, Jira, etc) 
  • Experience with Secure Software Development Life Cycle phases and techniques 
  • Solid understanding of software application logical and physical architecture 
  • Agile/SCRUM Software Development Process experience 
  • Experience in communicating with all levels of both business and IT teams 
  • Strong ability to multitask and to work tasks without daily supervisor interaction 
  • Self-starter – Proactive, investigative, willing to challenge assumptions and defend delivery timescales 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills in English
