Barings is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our APAC business. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will serve as a consultative partner responsible for designing and executing talent acquisition strategies to deliver top talent across our Asia Pacific business. This individual will also provide general human resources support across the Australian business.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor on all hiring related matters
  • Identify high quality active and passive candidates and develop pipelines for current and future vacancies
  • Manage all Talent Acquisition related administration, including ATS updates, notes and workflows, administration of job postings and any related external advertising; provide weekly updates to stakeholders; and preparation of new hire HR documents for the onboarding processes to ensure proper employee set-up
  • Build and foster collaborative relationships internally to fully understand business needs
  • Measure, analyze, and report on Talent Acquisition practices against KPIs
  • Collaborate with our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team to execute recruitment strategies that further our diversity goals
  • Manage vendor relationships with our recruitment partners
  • Proactively identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities for the HR function
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends within Talent Acquisition and Recruitment
  • Align APAC recruiting efforts to the global Talent Acquisition model
  • Assist in day-to-day operations of the HR function
  • Identify ways to improve policies and procedures
  • Act as a liaison with HR global COEs to support implementation of programs to improve the overall employee experience
  • Provide support on general Human Resources projects as needed
  • Partner with Global HR Business Partners to support global initiatives locally

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ years of proven experience recruiting in Financial Service, Investment/Asset Management preferred
  • Experience managing the complete recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a positive candidate experience
  • Knowledge and experience in designing/implementing direct sourcing strategies, experience with LinkedIn Recruiter is a plus
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with internal clients
  • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Experience working within applicant tracking systems, preferably Workday
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in a global corporate environment preferred
  • Interacts effectively with people of diverse backgrounds
