What You’ll Do:

The Growth team at Slickdeals is seeking a Senior Growth Product Designer to lead design experimentation and closely partner with our product, research and data science teams to generate and validate hypotheses through quantitative and qualitative data. We're looking for a scrappy, data driven obsessed product designer to help us optimize our product to drive more daily active users, increase acquisition, activation and user retention.

  • Lead and contribute to all product design growth initiatives and experiments focusing on acquisition, activation, engagement and retention
  • Proactively generate ideas and design solutions for new features and A/B tests to help primary business KPIs
  • Learn quickly from test results to improve and iterate on next round designs through user feedback and data analysis (Validate your hypotheses through qualitative and quantitative insights learned from experiments 
  • Collaborate closely with PMs, research analyst, data scientist, engineers and design to ensure that designs are technically feasible and aligned with goals
  • Assist in facilitating and leading growth design workshops and design sprints to help the team identify problems and solutions to test
  • Own design QA and work with the development team to ensure that designs are implemented to the highest standard and reflect quality UX on all your projects
  • Create detailed wireframes, advanced prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design concepts and interactions
  • Accuracy, conciseness, and clear communication. In addition, you have an inclusive mindset and can juggle other's perspectives along with yours
  • Present research and strategy in an organized and digestible format for product teams

What We're Looking For:

  • Someone who can partner with Product, User Research, and Product Analytics/Data Science to define and validate hypotheses quickly with qualitative and quantitative data 
  • Ability to design solutions that quickly validate your hypotheses with intuitive and delightful visual experiences 
  • One who thrives in partnering with cross functional stakeholders to analyze experiments with data and qualitative feedback and evolve your learning plan

  • Advanced design principles (typography, layout, color theory, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Your portfolio showcases high-quality work directly impacting project success
  • Minimum of 5 years of product design experience for cross-platform web and mobile applications where your work has been key to driving gains in conversion and product adoption (1-2 years of Growth Design experience)
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience (graphic design a plus)
  • Proven ability to excel in complexity and fast-paced environments and are passionate about balancing craft, critical thinking, and business needs to deliver a holistic user experience.
  • Self-motivated and able to efficiently run a project without close supervision
  • You love to discuss designs in groups, participate in design critiques, reviews and workshops

LOCATION: Los Angeles or San Mateo, CA

Hybrid with 1-2 days a week in our incredible new LA office in Westwood. In addition, opportunity to work out of our San Mateo or Las Vegas office quarterly.

TRAVEL:

15%: Some travel for onsite workshops and design sprints will be required quarterly when kicking off new projects or strategic planning initiatives. Most take place in LA however some in Las Vegas and our San Mateo office.
