Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic and charismatic franchise attorney to join our legal department. In this role, you will be a trusted advisor collaborating closely with Hyatt’s growing franchise operations and franchise development teams, where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality franchising company. The Role
The Senior Counsel– Franchising works directly with the VP & Assistant General Counsel – Franchising in providing legal support to all aspects of Hyatt’s franchise functions. Matters include new hotel development franchise deal work, owner transition franchise deal work, advising and counsel support to the franchise operations and other business team, support of FDD disclosure and exemption functions, and other matters. The Senior Counsel – Franchising duties will include:
The ideal candidate is a highly skilled franchise attorney with significant law firm experience in franchise disclosure, franchise transactions, and franchisor counseling advising, with a practical approach to client representation and problem-solving, comfort exercising independent judgment, client-service orientation, and effective communicator, and the ability to handle a high volume of matters efficiently and competently. In-house experience and hotel-specific experience are both assets but not prerequisites.
