Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior Manager that will be deeply engaged in the launch and product improvement phases for the products in our Caremark Care Management / Delivery portfolio. These products include i) our Deprescription product that helps Caremark members with Type 2 diabetes work with a tailored nutrition and monitoring program with the goal of reducing or eliminating their reliance on medication and ii) a personalized Weight Management program that helps Caremark members to engage a tailored nutrition and monitoring program with the goal of preventing the need for Anti-Obesity medication or minimizing side effects while taking those medications. You will become deeply familiar with the intricacies of our products' clinical and operational design as a subject matter expert.

Your home will be on the product team, You will work cross-functionally across the Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) care management organization and the broader CVS enterprise —with our clinical operations team, customer experience team and marketers, product operations team, clinical teams, legal/privacy/compliance, client implementation teams, and finance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to reduce the complexity and increase accessibility, engagement, and impact across product versions and customizations
  • Document and own the end-to-end technical delivery architecture of the products from a business perspective-e.g., identifying impacts to customer and member use cases from proposed changes to architecture
  • Ensure product design documentation and member journeys are fully articulated, revised as needed, and are transparently available to interested parties throughout the organization
  • Facilitate and own business requirements for a product performance monitoring information exchange architecture (and metrics provision)
  • Define new or revised capability requirements irrespective of source
  • Define user stories, member journeys, and resulting requirements to drive product improvement iterations
  • Participate in UAT (as a business owner) to ensure digital development meets predetermined acceptance criteria
  • Use data-driven insights and a deep understanding of product performance to identify and prioritize a product backlog that will drive differentiation and value creation.
  • Maintain business ownership over ongoing product development projects, including: ensuring all engaged parties are delivering on outcomes that will result in key product expansions / improvements, owning overall validation of business outcomes and how the project 'connects' with other pieces of the product design, and managing escalations or risks as needed
  • Assesses and triages customer requests for product customization
  • Other projects as directed

Capabilities:

The ideal candidate brings a combination strategic and tactical problem solving skills with a "hands-on" orientation, who understands what it takes to drive tangible change, can create a sense of urgency, make decisions quickly, and effectively influence others. This person should be able to demonstrate:

  • A deep enjoyment for getting into the details of how products work and defining the business outcomes required product delivery
  • The ability to develop and interpret user stories
  • Structured and logical thinking with the ability to identify and define business problems and issues
  • The ability to succinctly convey complex issues to a diverse range of constituents, both verbally and on paper at all levels of an organization
  • Highly developed project management skills
  • Advanced project management and office software application skills (e.g., Powerpoint, Excel, Visio)
  • Solid relationship-building skills and the ability to foster effective working relations across a cross-functional team including functional and divisional leaders
  • Intellectual curiosity and tenacity with ability and willingness to learn on the fly to understand and solve complex problems.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience managing direct reports and providing guidance on their professional development and personal growth.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in product design or product management {graduate level education may substitute for experience)
  • Experience executing the product development lifecycle
  • Experience effectively working with 10+ colleagues multiple functional areas such as Business Strategy, Commercialization, Clinical Strategy/Support/Operations, Technical Operations, Sales, Customer Support, Finance, Legal, Privacy, and Compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a business-related or health-related field
  • Previous experience working with remote teams

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$79,200.00 - $174,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
