Your New Role...

  • WBITVP Sverige AB is a creative, talent driven production company that develops, produces and distributes content in different genres including reality, factual, documentaries and entertainment.
  • WBITVP Sverige AB produce multiple successful and award-winning entertainment and drama series for Swedens biggest tv channels.
  • From 2024, the Swedish management team will take over the operational management of ITVP Denmark (with the Danish business having been restructured in June 2023).
  • This role will also cover activities relating to ITVP Finland and Norway where additional support may be required
  • The finance teams use a combination of Just Produce / JP (a production accounting package based of Microsoft Navision and SAP (for book of record reporting)
  • Perform local controllership activities primarily for the regions of ITVP Denmark and Norway (operating out of Sweden)

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Coordinate monthly bookings with the Production Accountants, explain material balances (balance sheet) and movements to Business Director and Nordic Hub Controller, resonsible for balance sheet reconciliations completeness/accuracy and participate in balance sheet reviews with ITVP Controllership team..
  • Ownership of specific month end and accounting activities including intercompany overhead recharges, fixed asset accounting, payroll processing by third party provider, credit card transactions, staff allocations. Liaise with ITVP Controllership Poland, SDC and other WBD accounting departments on accounting entries driven by them such as fixed asset and lease accounting, bonus and stock options and ensure associated taxes are accurately accrued and accounted for.
  • Responsibility for completion of quarterly SOX activities as instructed by ITVP HQ.
  • Support Business and Production Accountants with accounting and reporting of local industry, regulatory and customer practices, production incentives, tax incentives and other local requirements.
  • Overall Balance Sheet responsibility for local entities and primary point of contact for ITVP Controllership team and SDC (outsourcing partner for accounting and reconciliation processes). Ensure balance sheets are reviewed and reconciliations are acceptable standard for both US GAAP reporting, tax and statutory purposes. Assist EFS in the clearance of reconciling items where required.
  • Local ownership of SAP, including review and approval of master data changes and responsibility of data integrity including c-items, MPM and project codes.
  • Work with ITVP Controllership Poland and SDC to reconcile and manage the reconciliation and settlement of intercompany transactions. Provide support in quarterly footnote reporting process including management of quarterly AR ageing report.
  • Support Nordic Hub Controller in ensuring adequate processes and controls exist and that the business operates in accordance with WBITVP divisional and Warner Media group policies.
  • Coordinate compliance and regulatory reporting. Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company to ensure compliance with control environment, group policy, local regulations, local GAAP and US GAAP.
  • Monitor SDC performance open-item-managed accounts clearing activities (including cash and bank, AR and AP clearing), to substantiate appropriate and timely clearing.
  • Responsibility for production customer management with Production Accountants and SDC.
  • Support Nordic Hub Controller in their role as SME for application and interpretation of WB policies within production environment. Ensure Company management reporting is consistent with US GAAP and is up to date with relevant local GAAP.
  • Manage relationships with other WB partners including ITVP HQ, Tax, Corporate Finance and CapGemini.
  • Work with Production Accountants and other partners to provide supplemental information for WBD’s quarterly financial and regulatory filings.
  • Preparation of annual financial statements, management of audit process, preparation of audit support and principle point of contact for the auditors.
  • Coordination of tax and production incentive accounting with the production accountants. Support recording and assessment of incentives by production accountants and tax advisors.
  • Support for the tax dept in the Corporation Tax and Indirect Tax submissions to local tax regulators. Management of relationship with ITVP’s tax service provider.
  • Local SAP owner including reconciliation to production accounting system, responsibility for production interface and resolving interface errors, set-up of new productions, and other master data changes.
  • Provide support for local Corporate Finance activities as required.
  • Participate in systems development and deployment as required.

Qualifications & Experience...

  • Graduate / graduate calibre. Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent international preferred, graduate or business-related qualification, with 3-7 years + post-qualified relevant industry experience.
  • TV production and/or format business, ideally in a multinational, multicurrency environment. Preferably audit background. Proven ability to work as a business partner to senior management, with a variety of functional responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability quickly to grasp the "big picture" and exhibit judgment in drawing conclusions and solving problems.
  • Advanced excel skills required. Mid-level for all other Microsoft applications required. Ability to learn/utilize various systems and applications.
  • SAP or another leading ERP experience a plus. Attention to detail and able to deliver to tight deadlines
  • Experience of working in a corporate environment undergoing significant change or growth of the underlying business.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial statement preparation, reporting and analysis processes, with hands on experience of underlying processes. Exposure to international accounting and ideally a thorough knowledge and experience of US GAAP applicable to revenue recognition.
  • Strong but diplomatic character, with good organizational skills and ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously, working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Understands control environments and frameworks
