The Opportunity

As part of the Global Non-IT Procurement team, the Category Manager Professional Services is responsible for leading the creation, management, and execution of the sourcing strategy for the following subcategories: Consulting, HR services, Learning & Development & Recruitment. The goal is to continuously optimize the categories to the satisfaction of all stakeholders involved based on the commitments from Central Procurement (CP) to create business value, enhance digitalization, and consider vendor and risk management.

Responsibilities:

To execute local, regional, and global strategies effectively, and in collaboration with the global category team, the Category Manager Professional Services is required to:

  • Act as central strategic interface to the internal customers and key supplier manager for related procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with, and support the Regional Category Manager Senior/Global Category Manager to create and implement a comprehensive regional sourcing strategy for spend of assigned subcategories
  • Execute strategic procurement processes, including market analysis, demand management and forecasting, formal tenders, evaluation of offers, contract negotiation and proposal of contract award and implementation
  • Responsible for gathering and representing business and client requirements within the negotiations and contracting
  • Prepare contracts in collaboration with the legal department and other specialist departments, if required
  • Conduct spend analysis to define quantitative and qualitative optimization goals in the assigned subcategories and product groups
  • Work as part of the Regional Non-IT Procurement team, and in close collaboration with the Global Non-IT Procurement team, in the development of sourcing and supplier strategies
  • Deliver high quality procurement results and reporting as part of the Americas SSO
  • Maintain centralized contract repository, completed contracts, SOW’s, addendum's for assigned subcategories
  • Actively support Source-to-Contract (S2C) and Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process automation and digitization objectives via utilization of global procurement platform (Coupa)
  • Explore and adopt new areas of the business where Procurement can provide value

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant procurement experience or proven track record in related roles
  • Experience in leading strategic sourcing projects in an international environment and ability to orchestrate cross functional negotiation teams
  • Good knowledge across BPO & Professional Services subcategories, i.e., consulting temporary labor, recruitment, HR services
  • Strong project management skills with proven experience in delivering category and sourcing strategies and projects, driven, and directed by data.
  • Proficient contract terminology and expertise in developing alternative clauses where necessary in cooperation with the in-house Legal Departments
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to balance risk and effort on regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Technical expertise of the supported category strategy with a clear understanding of regional and global strategies effect on local markets.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, curiosity, and openness to learn 

Qualifications and educational requirements:

  • BA (required)
  • Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (preferred)

This role will be located in NYC. The salary range posted below applies to the Company’s NYC location.

The base salary range anticipated for this position is $110,500 -$162,000 plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO). 

The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in NYC. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
