We are looking for a new colleague for the position of "Electrical Engineer for Marine – LV, MV, Drives" at ABB's Europe Operations Center in Ostrava. The operations center is part of ABB's Process Automation division, which performs engineering for units around the world. Your responsibilities

• Responsibility for the technical solution of the power generation and distribution system or pro-pulsion system for ferries, shore, cruise and towcraft
• Creation of electrical documentation in the ePlan environment
• Calculations of electrical networks (power generation and distribution system)
• Programming of switchgear protection terminals (power generation and distribution system)
• Close cooperation with production units across Europe
• Participation in inspections of switchboards, generators, frequency converters, transformers and motors
• Cooperation in commissioning

Your background

• You have a university degree in electrical engineering (specialization heavy current - electrical power engineering, electric machines or drives)
• You are fluent in English (level B2)
• You can work independently
• Do you want to occasionally travel abroad for inspections (3-4 times a year in Europe for a maximum of a week)
• Knowledge of the ePlan environment is an advantage
• Experience with MV or LV switchgear is an advantage
• Experience with frequency converters is an advantage
