What you will do

Inside Sales Specialist (ISS)is the key role reporting to Service Excellence Manager – MEA. The Inside Sales Specialist will be based in Dubai and support the UAE customers by identifying the requirements from Field Operations, direct interaction with the customer, and offering standard and specific solutions and services. This in order to retain customers and enhance opportunities and their success ratio.

The ISS collaborates with Outside Sales, Field Operations, Customer representatives, and technical services resources to ensure proposals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, adhering to JCI’s standards and specifications. 

How you will do it

As an ISS, you will be the key point of contact for clients to answer queries and provide basic technical advice and information on new product introductions and modifications. You will handle Security (Service) system inquiries, follow up with the customers, build and maintain good relationships through Wholesale Distributors at all levels, and coordinate new and repeat sales to ensure 100% customer satisfaction and account retention.

As an Inside Sales professional you will use your skills & experience in crafting and estimating Security Systems, specifically in Access Controls and CCTV. This includes the ability to build accurate and competitive proposals using CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) and other pricing tools. Collaboration with the local area team is important to gather on-site asset counts and site details for precise project estimation. Detailed review and understanding of PPM Reports and MRF (Material Request Forms) for labor and material jobs are vital, along with providing mentorship on pricing strategies and identifying upsell opportunities. Attention to detail is essential in reviewing proposals prior to customer submission to ensure they meet specific customer needs. The role also involves measuring and improving lead to proposal time for improved efficiency and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the position requires reviewing and approving Order Receipts to ensure compliance with JCI (Johnson Controls International) standards, validating that Terms and Conditions and Terms of Payment align with JCI standards, and sending Order Acknowledgements to customers. Adherence to internal approval process guidelines (DOA - Delegation of Authority) is needed, and all vital documentation must be submitted to the Sales Coordinator for booking in the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. End-to-end tracking of the sales process from lead identification to booking in ERP is encouraged, including outbound calling for follow-up, gathering and updating all actions and interactions with customers in SFDC (Salesforce.com) or CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system, participating in weekly call blitzes, and proactively contacting customers with outstanding or soon-to-expire proposals. Regular review of current and expiring contracts is vital to identify.

You will participate with other Regional sale colleagues in sharing marketing intelligence about product opportunities that will grow sales, submits orders and confers with Customer Service Representatives and coordinate with outside sales and demand planner for forecast orders and special pricing (SPR). You will prepare frequent reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing quotation information vs success ratio, market application trends

You will chip in to sales efficiency by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent
  • 3 Years minimum experience in sales/estimation in the Security and Building Technology Industry 
  • Track record of over-achieving goals
  • Proven ability to influence account decision-makers at key levels
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls (20 on average) per day
  • Experience working with a CRM database
  • Ability to rapidly build knowledge of Johnson Control’s product lines
