APEX Group is looking for a qualified Legal Counsel to support our Luxembourg legal team with good investment funds law experience. This full-time role comes with a favourable salary and benefits package. 

The European Depositary Bank is a provider of Banking, Depositary and Custody services within the APEX Group Ltd, a global financial services provider with 4,000 staff across 45 offices globally.

To give you an idea of how this role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do: 

• Creating, auditing and disposing all banking- and fund related contracts and service level agreements (AIFM, investment management company, prospectus review, depositary and paying agency agreement etc.))
• Providing legal advice and being involved in drafting, reviewing and negotiating of various types of contracts and legal documents in a broad range of transactional and advisory work relating to banking, funds and capital market matters for Luxembourg as well as our branches
• Supporting departments internally on legal questions
• Drafting and negotiating intra group agreements
• Acting as first point of contact for all legal questions
• Supporting our branches as the Luxembourg head office
• Conducting legal research and staying up to date with regards to any legal developments in your field and Luxembourg laws
• Contributing to new business initiatives.

To apply for this Legal Counsel role, you will need a degree in Law and at least five years of experience within the funds industry in a financial institution or a law firm in Luxembourg. You will also require: 

• Practical experience in and a good understanding of Luxembourgish law, particularly in finance/banking law and fund legislation
• Good understanding of economic relationships and the processes of a bank
• First class drafting and negotiating skills
• Fluent communication skills in English – both written and verbal
