About the Position

The Inside Sales Representative reports to the Country Manager and is responsible for partnering with their territory team to generate revenue within an assigned geographic area. They are responsible for directly engaging end users to stimulate business through indirect sales channels such as value-added resellers (VARs), national resellers and distributors, and to serve as liaisons to channel partners with regards to any sales-related service and support issues. They will also have responsibility for push on renewals of services to our customer base.

Responsibilities include working within a sales team to promote and sell security products within a geographic territory. This includes sales of security products and services to resellers, system integrators, consultants and DMR’s. Inside sales representative works with Channel Account Managers, Channel Development Managers and Sales Engineers to develop sales strategies to penetrate existing and potential markets, customer and reseller prospecting, and pre-sales product recommendations. The inside sales representative will establish and maintain relationships with channel partners. The inside sales representative will keep up-to-date knowledge of the industry as well as the competitive posture of the company, as well as prepare activity and forecast reports as requested.

Position Responsibilities

  • Perform sales activities for an assigned geographic area to achieve or exceed assigned revenue targets
  • High volume of customer calls within a sales call queue working closely in conjunction with territory sales team to ensure all new partner accounts are being maintained and fully optimized
  • Working with Marketing and Sales Management to arrange appointments for external sales team
  • Main point of contact for WGRD, identify and close opportunities, pass end user leads to partners, and provide training and ongoing relationship management with all channel partners
  • Manage and close renewal and upgrade opportunities, including:
  • Processing customer renewal opportunities
  • Training partners on selling and renewing WatchGuard services
  • Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs and how to best utilize the organization's products and services to achieve their intended outcome
  • Perform sales presentations and training to match organization's products/services with identified needs
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure satisfaction
  • Booking sales meetings
  • Remain knowledgeable about all organization's products and services to facilitate sales efforts
  • Provide ongoing pipeline management and forecasting updates as requested
  • Conducting outbound call campaigns against sales and marketing initiatives
  • Working closely in conjunction with territory sales team to ensure all new partner accounts are being maintained and fully optimized

Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years selling experience in technology sales or equivalent experience
  • Energetic and high-quality team player with outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Understanding of computer networking, network security and computer peripheral products in network environments a plus
  • Proficiency with desktop computers; MS Office, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, CRM 
  • Fluent in English language
