Senior Software Engineer – Microsoft Fabric Extensions

OVERVIEW:

We are looking to hire an experienced full stack engineer to work with LSEG (LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE GROUP) Azure data platform initiative to build applications on the newly launched Microsoft fabric extensions. These engineers would work closely with technical teams and business stake holders to build commercial applications to be deployed on fabric extensions.

WORKSTYLE MODEL 

We know balance is the key, therefore we propose hybrid way of working. You are welcome to work from our brand-new office every day, but you have still an opportunity to stay at home if needed. In this position you can work 4 days a week from home. 

DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for motivated Full Stack developers to help us with the build out Microsoft Fabric extensions to integrate and support workload in Microsoft Fabric. Microsoft Fabric is an all-in-one analytics solution designed for enterprises. It covers everything from data movement to data science, Real-Time Analytics, and business intelligence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Software Engineer in the team, you will help us deliver highly scalable services and world-class product experiences. You will have opportunities to work on multiple layers of the technology stack, ranging from customer-focused user experience work on cloud services, working with big data, and everything in between. You will collaborate with team members and other engineering groups in Microsoft and LSEG to build full stack web applications and services using the latest web technologies in a dynamic and agile environment. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Web development experience needed

o Experience with modern JS frameworks such as React or Angular

o Experience with Typescript

o Good understanding of SPA (single page application) architecture of the website

  • 5+ years of experience in .NET framework (6.0+) and C# in a high-scale production system is preferred
  • Development experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS (Amazon Web Services)
  • Understanding and experience with API development and integration is preferred
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code (including CI/CD pipelines for the code and services)
  • Experience in design, coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills and collaboration capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex problems.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other developers

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related technical discipline and 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience

o 4+ years of proven technical leadership in shipping and operating high-quality cloud services and/or applications

o 2+ years of experience in building full stack applications including UI (User Interface) components in frameworks including, but not limited to, React, Angular

  • Experience in developing Single Page Applications (SPAs) and APIs.
  • Experience with .NET, TypeScript, React JS, Node, and Azure.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and design patterns.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
