Senior Project Engineer - Metals Process

You will be working as Senior Project Engineer - Metals Process at global grade 13 and will be part of Process Automation business for Process Industries division based in Kolkata, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for documenting service activities, including reports and maintenance logs. Utilizing all relevant tools, reporting work done in a timely manner and follow-up when needed.

Your responsibilities

• Performing installation supervision, maintenance and process related issue resolution using ABB automation system at client sites
• Collaborating with customers to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions
• Providing training to clients on ABB automation system and maintenance procedures
• Coordinating with internal teams to escalate complex issues and drive resolution
• Diagnosing technical issues, troubleshoot and provide timely solutions
• Following ABB safety guideline and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities. Reporting unsafe practices and incidents

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in electrical / electrical and electronics
• Require 5 to 7 years of experience
• Good hands on experience in 800xa, PEC 800, AC 800m, AC 500,(Any One is mandate), CHMI
• Knowledge in application programming & HMI development/ modifications for PLC/ DCS systems
• Knowledge on different communication protocols used in automation system
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
