SHS IT AP – Internship on Information Technology Security

Your tasks and responsibilities:

Are you ready to take your first step into the world of cybersecurity? This internship will give you hands-on experience and insights into how IT Security is driven in a company like us. These will be your main responsibilities:

• In this position you will have the opportunity to interact with and understand IT security & Cybersecurity topics and challenges across countries in APJ & China regions.
• Identify cybersecurity risks in our operations: you will spend up to 70% of your time reviewing the documentation around our applications and infrastructure security processes, identifying potential gaps, and helping us to improve our overall cybersecurity posture.
• Stay Ahead of the Curve: dedicate 20% of your time to staying up to date on the latest cybersecurity trends and threats, regulatory changes, etc. and engage with our cybersecurity community in Asia Pacific, sharing this knowledge, to increase the awareness and create a strong cybersecurity mindset.
• Security engineering: Utilize 10% of your time to hone your technical skills by assisting in the development of tools and automation processes to enhance our systems' security.
• If you want to go the extra-mile, there will still be cybersecurity challenges that will help you to gain knowledge to start your journey as a cybersecurity professional.

Your qualifications and experience:

• Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and programming languages is preferred.
• Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts such as penetration testing, security architecture, cloud security, AI security, etc. will be a plus.
• Proficient in office tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications; and exposure to low code platforms like Power BI
• Process: Basic understanding of methods/frameworks used in the cybersecurity environment.
• Availability: Minimum of 4 days a week for at least 3 months.

Your attributes and skills:

• Adaptable: Ability to adapt changes, curious and quickly learn new skills in the cybersecurity environment.
• Curious: Be passionate about cybersecurity and eager to stay informed about industry trends and latest risks, security incidents and the protection technologies used by large companies like us.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Chinese and English, to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to engage the regional AP team and different global teams.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, sharing ideas and supporting team goals. Bring and share your passion for cybersecurity to Siemens Healthineers.
