Job Summary:

This is a multi-faceted Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) position, working in support of Special Programs. The candidate will help develop, administer, and maintain a comprehensive security program in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. This individual will be required to routinely interface with all levels of management and government customers.

Responsibilities To Anticipate:

  • Must be able to understand, implement and ensure compliance with the DoD Manual 5220.22-M NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and related Industrial Security Guidance Manuals or Special Program Security directives.
  • Develop, submit for approval, and implement security policies, procedures, and documentation specific to the program such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Security Plans, Operation Security (OPSEC) Plans, Concept of Operations (CONOPs), etc.
  • Conduct self-inspections and participate in Government Inspections, and recommend /implement corrective actions as required.
  • Create, update, and conduct various security briefings, training, and debriefings.
  • Maintain and leverage working relationships with internal and external customers, peers, and senior management across multiple sites and business units.
  • Investigate security incidents and prepare written reports

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 0 years’ experience.
  • Experience in Program Security with a basic understanding of Personnel Security, Physical/Technical Security, Information Assurance, COMSEC, and/or Security Awareness Training and Education
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Security related certification and training
  • Experience with JPAS and Access Commander databases
  • Self-starter and Team player
  • Ability to develop and implement solutions to a variety of complex problems
  • Well organized with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks daily and effectively re-prioritize tasks when required
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
