As the Service Engineer Analytical, you will be responsible for providing service support to Customers for field equipment and software of the Measurement Solutions Analytical business unit manufactured by Emerson, support for field equipment of other business units of Emerson and third-party manufacturers. Acting as a technical representative of the company to Customers on issues of selection, operation, maintenance and repair of MSOL equipment!

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Installation, supervision, configuration, commissioning, testing, adjustment, defect detection, repair, participation in factory acceptance tests and equipment testing at the Customer’s site (FAT/SAT), audit of the accurate application and organization of maintenance, consulting, training of Customers’ personnel and other technical support during warranty and post-warranty periods for equipment and software of the MSOL Analytical business unit, manufactured by Emerson, related equipment and software from other manufacturers.
  • Solving problems and carrying out work on contracts and projects in accordance with the priorities set by the Manager. Carrying out work according to developed schedules. Active participation in the development of work plans to achieve set goals and meet relevant requirements on time and with appropriate quality.
  • Providing technical support, equipment during the warranty and post-warranty periods within the framework of existing service contracts, as well as at the request of BU in the office and at the Customer’s site. Conducting consultations with Customers, conducting training for Customers’ personnel. Carrying out quality control and compliance with technical requirements, testing and acceptance of equipment at the Customer’s site.
  • Participation in work under contracts and projects in Kazakhstan. Technical support for equipment of other BUs whenever possible.
  • Functional interaction and coordination of work with other participants in ongoing projects, employees of the relevant divisions of the Company to achieve the desired result. Participation in the preparation of service contracts if necessary.
  • Completion of required certification as a Service Engineer according to the BU profile, constant improvement of qualifications and experience in all types of equipment, starting with the most in demand in terms of service in the region.
  • Maintaining/monitoring/control of documentation/reporting on proficiency issues. Preparation of the necessary data, reports, acts, protocols, etc.
  • Strict compliance with the requirements of instructions and corporate policy on labor protection, active support of the Company's initiatives in the field of labor protection and environmental protection, alignment to labor protection requirements in the workplace. Strict compliance with all requirements of the Customer’s labor protection instructions and policies when visiting the Customer’s production sites. Active participation in meetings committed to issues of Labor Safety and Environmental Protection, chipping in to a better understanding of the goals and objectives of this area. Participation in the process of improving working conditions, labor safety and environmental protection.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Higher technical education in the field of Automation, instrumentation and automation, process control systems, etc.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry in the field of Automation, instrumentation and control systems, process control systems (production departments, service departments, operation departments, instrumentation, etc.) (min. 5 years).
  • Practical knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems of the Microsoft Windows family. Practical knowledge of General Safety Rules, Electrical Safety, Industrial Safety, etc.
  • Proficiency in English is at least pre-intermediate (spoken and technical).
  • Willingness to travel, incl. abroad for training and direct performance of work.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience working in foreign oil and gas companies, either directly with foreign companies, or direct participation in international oil and gas projects is welcome.
  • Experience, clear theoretical knowledge of the principles of operation and design of analytical equipment, instrumentation and automation equipment, practical experience in solving technical issues of using equipment, its maintenance, solving and repair, metrological support. Work experience, reading drawings and design documentation of Western standards: P&ID, C&E, Instr Index, Loop drawings, Control Narratives & Philosophy, etc.
  • Outstanding technical expertise.
  • Advanced degree is a plus.
