"On Deck" Development Program 2024 (Hybrid)

A few things you should know…

  • Business hours are 9:00am-6:00pm EST, Monday through Friday, with a daily 1 hour unpaid lunch break
  • Employees in the On-Deck program are full-time team members
  • This program is 15-months long with an opportunity for permanent placement after completion of the program. Please note: there is no guarantee that you will be offered a full time position following completion of the program.
  • We typically have 4-6 openings each year
  • Start date: June 17, 2024

Overview:

We are looking for a diverse set of elite 2024 college graduates with strong academic records and varied extracurricular interests who want to grow into future leaders. People with an interest in fashion, the vineyard vines brand and lifestyle are encouraged to pursue this opportunity. 

The On-Deck team members will have the opportunity to participate in a unique program that is focused on providing hands-on experience across different departments and one of our retail locations. Participants will spend 10 weeks in a store rotation to understand the brand, product and customers. Upon completion of their store rotation, they will then complete three corporate rotations based at our Headquarters in Stamford, CT. These rotations will be based on the On-Deckers interests, skillset and growth. Some department rotations may include (but not limited to):

  • Creative & Design
  • Ecommerce & Marketing
  • Finance, Accounting and Strategy 
  • Supply Chain & Procurement, Technology & Operations
  • Human Resources & Retail Operations
  • Licensing & Wholesale
  • Merchandising, Planning & Production

In addition to the rotations, On-Deckers will have the opportunity to participate in different workshop classes like Excel training, public speaking courses, etc throughout their 15-months. This will help develop the On-Deckers communication and presentation skills. They will also learn conflict resolution and strengthen their creative problem solving abilities

This program will drive opportunities for self-discovery and understanding while sticking to the vineyard vines core belief that a fun workplace inspires success. These graduates will be positioned to move up within the company and will have gained valuable professional experience by the end of the program. Please note: ALL On-Deckers are expected to complete all four rotations for the full 15-month program.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Passion for the vineyard vines brand and lifestyle
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Desire to learn in a entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to plan, manage time, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively receive and communicate feedback
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Willing to work some weekends during their 10-week retail rotation
  • Must be willing to relocate within commuting distance to Stamford, CT
