This position establishes and facilitates the realization of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategy, mission, and business objectives. As a member of leadership team, The Supply Chain Head identifies and takes action to deliver optimal service levels and financial value.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize costs, inventory levels, and delivery performance.
  • Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals, including planning, logistics and warehousing, to ensure effective execution of supply chain activities.
  • Oversee and manage the supply chain activities in Libya in addition to Egypt activities.
  • Sales and Business Planning (S&BP):
  • Agree on optimal inventory levels in markets in alignment with country organizations and in line with contractual agreements.
  • Ensure timely booking of orders and track production, release and shipments with manufacturing sites, Hub & Externa Supply Operations.
  • Address and resolve any issues affecting supply of products to markets to ensure achievement of country financial & growth objectives.
  • Demand Management & Forecasting:
  • Facilitate and agree sales forecast with country organizations.
  • Ensure effective and timely communication (upload) of short term and long-term forecasts to site.
  • Ensure sales forecasts are in line with in-market sales plans and target levels.
  • Warehouse and Distribution Management:
  • Lead all aspects related to 3PL qualification, contracting and monitoring with respect to local and global policies.
  • Budget settings and managing all costs/spent in efficient and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ownership all operational activities and KPI's to ensure world class service in line with organization objectives.
  • Customs and Trade Compliance Management:
  • Oversight all importation & exportation activities in line with local & global guidelines.
  • Full ownership of contracting, managing & communication with customs brokers and other external partners.
  • Management of all financial transactions, bookings, and cost savings in line with local policies
  • Project management and Process improvement:
  • Lead and participate in special projects as and when required by company (e.g. sourcing of 3PL warehousing operations, Product transfers, introduction of new presentations, optimizing supply model, incorporate bar coding, product standardization, etc.)
  • Process improvement: Improve SC processes and develop country Supply Chain Strategy according to STO Supply Chain Strategy.
  • Launch Management:
  • Provide standardized launch supply performance and ensure active participation and inputs by Supply Chain in alignment with Country Launch Manager and Regulatory.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with +10 years of Professional experience in Supply Chain Planning Management in a multinational companies, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Formal qualification in Supply Chain is a must.
  • Solid understanding of key supply chain planning processes (Demand & Supply Planning, S&OP) and used technologies.
  • Several years of experience in leading, managing and developing teams
  • Excellent in setting clear directions for others in times of uncertainty, change and transformation.
  • Strong track record in restructuring, reorganizing, change, and cost savings programs in Supply Chain.
  • Proactive, result- and solution-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach challenges with an open mind and explore alternative solutions.
  • High customer and team orientation as well as strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrate the company's values and ethical standards, serving as a role model for the supply chain team and fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting a sense of teamwork and cooperation.
  • Ability to set ambitious goals and drive continuous improvement initiatives with strong ambition to strive for excellence.
  • Experience with supply chain management software (such as SAP, APO,Kinaxis , etc)
