We are looking for a Head of Ethics and Compliance US who can work independently and proactively to develop and direct solutions to join us in our Ethics & Compliance team based in our Atlanta, GA office.

About the role

You will collaborate with peers on the E&C Leadership Team to develop global E&C programs and to build the culture of E&C, including building frameworks to support business decision making aligned with ethical principles. 

Who you’ll work with

Internally, you will work with Legal Counsel, Human Resources, and UCB business leadership. Externally you will work with the Department of Health and Human Services; State Regulatory Agencies; U.S. Food & Drug Administration; Industry Organizations; Consultants; Office of the Inspector General

What you’ll do

  • Develop and direct the UCB US E&C program and contribute to the global E&C programs through active participation on the E&C Leadership Team.
  • Provide leadership in the development of a compliance risk management program to identify and effectively manage compliance obligations for UCB.
  • Setting the strategy for and administering UCB US E&C training in collaboration with E&C global resources for all affected employees (including temporary employees) and ensuring independent contractors and agents are aware of the policies.
  • Develop UCB US E&C departmental Policies & Procedures in partnership with business stakeholders and E&C global resources.
  • Provide leadership, oversight, and expert advice to ensure appropriate development, interpretation, and implementation of compliance strategies, policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Collaborate with E&C Investigations Lead to conduct investigations into alleged violations of the E&C Program, company ethics, and/or business conduct practices and make recommendations for resolution of misconduct, including disciplinary actions.

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 10 years of management-level healthcare compliance, regulatory and/or consulting experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in auditing and conducting complex compliance investigations.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in planning, and/or project facilitation.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards.
  • Extensive report, policy, and procedure development experience.
  • Experience in the development and delivery of learning programs.
  • Excellent and effective communication skills, including group presentations and one-on-one interactions with employees at all levels.
