Description:Performs Quality Engineering (QE) duties supporting Greenville Site Operations (GSO) Production. The core responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Support standard QE activities to include product/process assessment, discrepancy analysis, data interpretation, preventive/corrective action facilitation, and continuous improvement activities
  • Provide functional quality data and/or presentations to support product initiatives, continuous improvement, and performance status to appropriate key stakeholders
  • Enable and enhance product inspection methodologies

The role has support responsibility for ensuring quality is embedded in the Production life cycle, respective to assigned area of responsibility. The inherent duties include support of analysis activities; review of procedural guidance for inspection methodologies; adherence to quality assurance plans; assess opportunities for use of applicable quality science tools and methods; facilitate root cause/corrective action (RCCA) and discrete plan validation activity; and communication of significant events or emerging issues. The ability to execute on the following is integral to successful execution of the duties of the position: collaborate with various functions for a unified solution; collaborate with teams/individuals to complete distinct tasks; and clearly articulate complex data/information to cross-functional teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with 5 years of professional experience, 3 years of professional experience with a Masters degree, or 8 years of progressive professional experience without a degree.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with or understanding of Quality principles, inspection methods and technical data in the Aerospace industry
  • Experience with interpreting engineering blueprints and/or specifications
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
