Job Description & Summary

At PwC South East Asia Consulting, we help businesses to work smarter and grow faster. We partner with our clients to build effective organisations, innovate and grow, reduce costs, manage risk and regulation and, leverage talent. Our aim is to support businesses in designing, managing and executing lasting beneficial change.

The Difference is part of PwC South East Asia Consulting. We help businesses, not-for-profits and governments create value and improve the way they work. From improving healthcare, to creating smarter cities and igniting South East Asia’s start up industry, you’ll build trust in society and solve important problems. We’re here because we love what we do and think we can be the best at it. Our culture is magnetic, our workplace is state-of-the-art, and beautifully purpose-built, and we have the skills and personalities fueling us to be bold, experimental, creative, and truly disruptive.

About the Team

The Difference is a business unit of PwC within Workforce Transformation and a key differentiator in the consulting market. The Difference provides a collaborative and innovative approach to accelerating the design of solutions to complex business issues. Issues and solutions, varying from leadership alignment and development, (digital) transformations, culture ways of working, process mapping, persona journeys, to product development and improving business operating models. In order to do this, the Difference produces facilitated session events ranging from strategic 1-3 day sessions to serial tactical workshops, all of which aim to assist our clients to solve complex business programs in accelerated timeframes.

About the Role

We are looking for a team member who is human-centred (including experience in design thinking and innovation training), digitally & design savvy and is passionate about collaboration.

You will work as part of a high-performing team to produce client-facing sessions, leading a collaborative design and planning process, and co-facilitating sessions from the front of room. Through our sessions we seek to help solve our clients’ toughest problems and transform the way they work.

As a Collaboration Designer, you are responsible for the appropriate scoping of The Difference sessions to solve critical thinking and execution issues across the client enterprise. Once scoped, sessions are designed and executed with a delivery team and a participant group of 10-150.

The Collaboration Designer is required to confidently grasp a range of business problems and lead a sponsor group through the design of sessions, activities and collaborations which facilitates solving these problems. You will manage -very hands on- the delivery of this in an environment that enhances and encourages creativity (which can be virtual and in-person).

The Collaboration Designer works in partnership with the Front-of-the-room Facilitator, and other Collaboration Designers to design, prepare and solution for sessions. And in the days immediately before, during and post a session the Collaboration Designer acts as the leader of a group of the ‘crew’ who are contracted to deliver these events.

Depending on experience, Collaboration Designers also have the opportunity to develop their facilitation, training and coaching skills.

About You

Behaviours

The most important character trait of Collaboration Designer is being completely client focussed - to the point of supporting and coaching the client(s) in whatever goals they may have. Going the extra mile to create a unique, future-forward experience for all our participants.

Collaboration Designers must be excellent team players, adaptive, and are practical in implementation. They must be comfortable working in a diverse and multicultural team, within a non-hierarchical environment, open to constructive challenge and feedback, and enthusiastic about collaborating with colleagues of all grades and backgrounds to deliver great work. The work of a Collaboration Designer fluctuates in peaks and troughs and the Collaboration Designer must be flexible enough to prioritise and complete tasks during the peaks and maximise time for learning and business development in troughs.

A Collaboration Designer is also bright, inquisitive, adaptable, well-organised, and has exceptional attention to detail. Effective communication and negotiation/persuasion skills are vital, as the Collaboration Designer has direct contact with senior levels of our client organisations, alliance partners, and vendors. While the work is intense, the environment is creative, dynamic, and we encourage/expect everyone to contribute innovative ideas.

Success of a Collaboration Designer stems from having a strong growth mindset, proactive, creative, integrative, and going the extra mile for clients.
