Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Develop and deliver the Supplier Quality strategy in the business. 

You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and procedures for regulated products/processes, including high-quality performance of 

suppliers. This role will drive CAPA, SCAR, and continuous improvement of product and process quality for purchased parts.

The location for the role is Best, The Netherlands.

You’re responsible for

  • Implements supplier quality solutions for the assigned business, manufacturing site or suppliers 
  • Execute programs to enable the organization’s short and long-term objectives 
  • Deploy supplier quality strategy in line with supply management and business strategy. 
  • Deploy quality aspects in the Supplier Selection process 
  • Ensure that the supplier partners related risks (quality; delivery; cost) are controlled and mitigated 
  • Deploy and follow up on the Supplier Quality Related KPI’s towards the suppliers and SQE’s 
  • Ensures the assigned supply base meets Philips's sustainability requirements 
  • Ensures the annual definition of the quality improvement plan (QIP) for strategic/preferred BOM suppliers based on business needs, ensures timely implementation
  • Successfully integrates across multiple product lines and businesses 
  • Thorough knowledge of the business areas supported including their strategies, goals, competitive environment, functional processes, and organizational dynamics 
  • Fosters excellent cross-functional communications and integrates the work of managers to achieve business objectives 

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering and/or business discipline or similar experience;
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in professional engineering
  • Experience with requirements management tools
  • Experience in driving design changes for quality improvements
  • Familiarity with Medical Development regulations as in FDA 21 CFR part 820, ISO 13485, ISO 14791, The Medical Device Directive, Safety as in EN60601-1 and EMC as in EN60601-1-2 and subordinate regulations.
