We are seeking a professional individual to join our team as a (Senior) Product Manager (d/f/m) - Search & Ranking.

About your Team

With ~50 Million Items (and growing) on Kleinanzeigen, and 120m users at Adevinta’s global marketplaces the best-in-class search is critical to “get you the most relevant products”. The Search & Ranking team is composed of engineers, data scientists, designers and product managers responsible for maximising its relevance to each side by effectively matching supply and demand in a suitable time frame while making it incredibly easy and convenient to find and discover products.

The Role

As a (Senior) Product Manager (d/f/m) in the Search & Ranking team, you will identify customer pain points, business opportunities, and define/deliver the products that help us create a highly relevant marketplace for our buyers. Your work will be pivotal to shaping the future of Kleinanzeigen and our European Marketplaces in France, Spain, Italy and Benelux.

• Creating vision and strategy for Search & ranking products and platforms.
• Leading cross-functional working group of engineers, data scientists, designers to ensure alignment, execution, and launches.
• Maintaining product backlog and the product roadmap. Own prioritisation process of product solutions based on business value and customer impact.
• Defining goals and success with clearly measurable objectives and key results.
• Building alignment across product teams (inside and outside of Search & ranking), and Leadership/Executive teams.
• Anticipating bottlenecks, making tradeoffs and balancing the business needs, customer needs, versus technical or operational constraints.
• Presenting product roadmap and status to the business and Kleinanzeigen leadership on an ongoing basis. Communicate concisely and influence outcomes.
• Evaluating new product opportunities and bring forward proposals (buy, build, partner solutions) for new capabilities with data and users at the forefront
• Developing short term plans aligned with long term goals to iteratively build platform capabilities to find, retrieve and rank to most relevant items.

Your skill profile 

• 4-6+ years product management experience, 2+ years of building machine learning products
• Product experience in re-commerce or e-commerce (nice-to have)
• Experienced in design, and hypothesis driven product development
• Experience in making high stakes trade off decisions
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Entrepreneurial drive to achieve stretch goals in an innovative fast-paced environment
• You have excellent written and spoken communication in English, German language skills considered as a plus
