Job Summary:

The Project Management Office Head (PMO Head) understands overall business strategy and priority which can be translate into project and initiative planning and execution effectively. The PMO Head works closely with management team for project prioritization, budget and overall organizational resource planning. The PMO Head provides strong leadership and governance to a team of project managers. He or She will guide project teams to ensure successful project delivery including overall tracking to meets project goals or business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee program/project planning and execution and take primary ownership to ensure that the project is delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality standard. 
  • Oversee and guide project manager for project feasibility and business justification. 
  • Manage, align, and resolve conflict of program/project priorities, budget and resource interdependencies with key stakeholders effectively.
  • Govern project approval and project management standard as well as ongoing project tracking and steering committee update to ensure effective project execution and delivery.
  • Oversee project portfolio risk and challenge proactively with mitigation plan development. 
  • Provide required project portfolio status update to the project board/senior management. 
  • Be able to coach and manage team members. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Competency:

  • Minimum of 10 years proven work experience from a similar role, including project management and business analysis.
  • Having strategic view and long-term vision as well as be able to devise the short-term & medium-term plan to deliver.
  • Strong leadership skill.
  • Possess good stakeholder, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Outstanding analytical, creativity, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent teambuilders and coaching capabilities
  • Can-do and positive attitude, self-motivated, energetic, result orientation, ability to work well under pressure and time constraint. 
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Strategic Planning, Economics, Project management, IT, or other related filed 
  • English proficiency on speaking, writing, and reading is a must. 
  • Held related project management and/or process improvement certificate e.g. Six sigma blackbelt, PMP, PRINCE2 (preferable)
