Job Title: Senior Specialist, Financial Accounting

The Role:

As a Senior specialist (Financial Accounting), you will be maintaining accounting and financial records, performing routine financial operational activities, ensuring all work practices, processes and procedures are in line with requirements of the jurisdictional rules of the country, company policies and procedures. In addition to this, executing tasks relating to the local provident fund of the company shall also be part of your role.

The Impact:

Your role will allow the company to accurately reflect the financials of the company at local and group level. The role involves working closely with the internal customers of the organization for support. Also, your efforts will enable the company to comply with policies, procedures, and local regulations. Furthermore, your role will support to strengthen internal controls and highlight deviations.

The Team/Business:

The Finance department is responsible for accounting, financial reporting & analysis and internal controls for all of the commodity groups and the functional departments. Finance team strives in providing governance and assistance in maintaining books of accounts, policies and methodologies, and supports the global efforts in areas of accounts payable, Month end close, Treasury, GL management, Taxation, Intercompany transactions, Fixed assets register maintenance and accounting, and any other related tasks. The Finance team is also responsible to ensure compliance to local rules, regulations and applicable laws.

Responsibilities:

  • Execution of financial operations.
  • Month end closings and reconciliations
  • Processing of AP invoices and employee reimbursements
  • GL monitoring and resolutions, Internal and external reporting (under IFRS and US GAAP)
  • Tax and corporate secretarial compliance
  • Execution of tasks relating to provident fund
  • Coordinating internal and external audits (including special audits)
  • Monitoring of compliance to policy, process and local regulations.

Qualifications:

  • CA Inter or ACCA qualified with minimum 3-year article-ship completed from at least a well-reputed medium to large sized audit firm along with maximum 2 to 3 years of industry experience in the service sector.
  • Prior working experience of handling provident funds and tax audits (preferable but not mandatory)
  • Sound professional with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong command on MS Excel
  • Must be amenable with Hybrid Setup (at least 2x work in the office)
  • APAC Shift

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good working knowledge of Tax laws, applicable corporate laws and provident fund rules.
  • Aware of the norms around the IT industry
  • Attention to detail
  • Good analytical skills
  • Should be a team player
