Procurement Governance and Compliance - Senior Specialist

The role of the Senior Associate in Supply Chain Services / Enablement is to act within Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC). The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and optimizing procurement processes.

The opportunity

This role involves analysing procurement data, identifying trends, recommending improvements based on best procurement practices and communicating with procurement team members and procurement business partners.

The role holder is expected to form lasting relationships with leaders and other key stakeholders to drive the development of the supply chain organization.

Your key responsibilities

Data Analytics and Reporting for Compliance:

  • Plan and execute procurement process compliance reviews
  • Monitor implementation of corrective actions
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management containing key governance procurement indicators
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate procurement staff and stakeholders about compliance requirements
  • Maintain a risk and issues register and suggest mitigating actions for procurement risk
  • Utilize data-driven insights to recommend procurement process improvements

Global Internal Audits support:

  • Conduct regular procurement internal audits to ensure adherence to procurement guidelines.
  • Support on external audit fieldwork activities
  • Maintain audit calendar and planning
  • Monitor remediation plans are completed

Skills and attributes for success

  • Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related role
  • Experience in procurement governance, procurement risk and procurement compliance activities will be a plus
  • Excellent Excel skills – knowledge of complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, ability to manipulate and summarize significant amounts of data into a usable format
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills - complex information must be simplified and presented consistently to standards expected by Executive stakeholders
  • Knowledge of ESG/ sustainability minimal requirements to apply in procurement policies and processes
  • Very good understanding of policies and processes
  • Very good relationship, interpersonal skills and cultural awareness
  • Self-starter, proactive and ability to work independently
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets 
  • Detailed oriented and motivated to compliance
  • Eager to collaborate with best practices and business trends

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • At least 5 years of relevant progressive experience from a large organization, either a partnership or multi-national corporation
  • Working experience of products & services procurement
  • Fluent in English 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Flexible working hours to accommodate Central Europe and US working hours

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management such as CPSM, CSCP or similar.
  • Prior experience working in a global organization with a diverse and multicultural environment.
  • Expertise in using advanced data analytics and procurement software.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
