As a Technical Artist at Supercell, you will play a critical role in ensuring our art production process runs smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with artists, engineers, and other members of the development team to develop and maintain the tools and workflows that drive our art production pipeline. Your expertise in scripting, automation, and problem-solving will be crucial in optimizing our production processes and enabling our artists to create stunning visuals.

Responsibilities:

  • Pipeline Development: Collaborate with artists, engineers, and other team members to design, develop, and maintain the art production pipeline.
  • Tool Development: Create custom scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and streamline the art production workflow. This includes tools for asset importing, exporting, and optimization.
  • Asset Management: Implement asset management systems to organize and track art assets efficiently throughout the development process.
  • Performance Optimization: Work on optimizing art assets and shaders for various target platforms to ensure optimal performance and visual quality.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain clear and concise documentation for tools and processes to ensure that the team can use them effectively.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues related to the art production pipeline, offering creative solutions to challenges as they arise.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with artists to understand their needs and provide technical support to help them achieve their artistic vision.
  • Stay Updated: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to art pipelines and tools to ensure that Supercell remains at the forefront of game development.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong proficiency in languages such as Python, C#, C++ or similar.
  • Experience with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine is a plus.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling and animation software (e.g., Maya, 3ds Max, Blender).
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Passion for games and a deep understanding of the mobile gaming market.
