Market Procurement Manager

Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Drives the demand side of market and project procurement (sales & IMS projects) geared to optimize total costs by ensuring the best possible solution in the applicable region/area.

You are responsible for

  • Being an integrated business partner by fully understanding the business requirements and provide the best solution to the demand side. Needs to be agile and quick learner of new technologies or best practices in your respective fields and focuses on continuous improvement (lean).
  • Responsible for identification and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives in the local market through the development of internal and external intelligence such as best industry practices, supplier capabilities and capacities, emerging trends and technologies, and regulatory issues.
  • Drive all procurement and sourcing activities for all the assigned commodities / supply-base, in line with the global and local procurement strategies for the market.
  • Driving sourcing innovation by best in class negotiation strategies and contract management
  • Drive supply base management which includes supplier classification, risk management and compliance (Statutory, Fiscal, SOX, Internal Control etc.) of all potentially “high risk” vendors and transactions in your respective commodities / supply-base.
  • Drive business value by impacting quality, time to market, supplier innovation and cost efficiency.

You are a part of

A talented group of procurement professionals reporting to the Market Procurement Leader (MPL) who deliver added value by bringing the entire Procurement network to the equation.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s / Master Degree
  • 5+ years' experience in Procurement
  • Broad knowledge of Procurement including Indirect Material Spend categories
  • Knowledge of business engineering with technical affinity, Capital Investments, Real Estate Construction projects or any other major Indirect Spend Categories.
  • Evaluates supply trends and market developments and aligns supply based strategy with needs of business
  • Is closely connected to the business and makes local commodity strategy relevant to customer needs
  • Experience driving improvements in (TCO) Total Cost of Ownership and insure impact on bottom line
  • Experience in contract negotiations
  • Able to lead complex or multi business procurement projects
  • Manage reporting and results of complex assignment toward business leadership
  • Strong stakeholder management skills in a matrix environment
