The Meeting and Event Planner is responsible for coordinating meetings and training events of varying size and scale for the firm, The idea candidate must have a minimum of (insert number here) within a corporate meeting and event role, is a team player, detailed oriented with exceptional organizational and project management skills as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. This role collaborates with leaders across the firm to provide best-in-class meetings and events.

How you will contribute:

  • Collaborate with event owners to understand the objectives and requirements of each event
  • Develop and manage meeting event budgets, including invoice reconciliation and budget tracking
  • Source and negotiate contracts with supplies and service providers
  • Build and maintain event registration and conference websites, communications and conference apps, in partnership with the Event Technologist on the team
  • Plan all logistical aspects of meetings and events including but not limited to setup requirements, production, ground transportation, hotel accommodations, food and beverage / BEO, entertainment, offsite events, evening activities, and registration components
  • Collaborate with other planners on the team on best practices, in some cases supporting each other in the planning and execution of the firm's larger programs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external vendors, as well as other industry professionals
  • Review and process event invoices for accuracy
  • Provide onsite execution of meetings when necessary - travel required (approx 20%, ranging from overnight up to a week at a time)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 1-3 years of applicable experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of applicable experience
  • Certified Meeting Professional certification
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite application skills
  • Event knowledge and experience
  • Travel industry knowledge
  • Corporate Travel experience, with expertise in vendor relationships and Concur system reporting, in addition to providing support through various tools including online resource center updates and timely responses to travel service desk emails
