Job Title: Manager, Corporate Strategy & Development

Reports to: Sr. Director, Corporate Strategy & Development

Location: Goleta, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Remote-Hybrid

The Role

Corporate Strategy & Business Development is responsible for:

Developing, articulating and stewarding the enterprise and brands’ long-range strategic plans Identifying, evaluating, executing & managing organic growth opportunities (strategic initiatives) within the Deckers portfolio across all brands, regions and channels Bringing to light key insights and analyses about consumer, competition, category, and regional trends for global leadership team and Board of Directors Identifying, assessing and executing on external investment (M&A) opportunities that fit with the overall enterprise portfolio strategy

Your Impact

Enterprise Strategic Planning Support

  • Work with the Sr. Manager & Sr. Director in developing the enterprise corporate strategic direction, growth initiatives, playbook & execution plan
  • Support the strategy calendar & corresponding ELT milestone meetings through insight-driven recommendations, research, presentation support & financial modeling
  • Prepare for Board of Directors Meetings (1x a year focused on brand strategies, remaining 3x supporting leadership) through presentation support, competitive & category research & basic pro-forma financial modeling

Strategic Initiatives Project Management

  • Be the point-person for the on-going management & governance of our strategic initiatives – including reporting, KPI tracking, project management & coordination
  • Support special projects within Brands, Regions & Channels – ranging from accelerating certain products & divisions to launching into new markets
  • Work closely with brand, region, channel, operation, and enterprise leaders to align the organization around major brand strategies and key growth initiatives

Monthly & Quarterly Market & Competitive Insights

  • Analyze competitive sets for both Deckers and its brands and provide monthly and quarterly updates to the leadership team and Board of Directors

Business Case & Scenario Modeling Support

  • Support business case, scenario modeling & analytical deep dives into key issues on a quarterly & annual basis (annual strategic review)

We’d love to hear from people with

  • 3-5 Years of Experience; Preferred domains of corporate/business unit strategy, management consulting, investment banking, business analysis/project-driven roles across analytics, finance or marketing

$115,000- $130,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
