Job Description

Title: Assistant Retail Buyer – Women’s

Reports to: Retail Buying Manager – Women’s

Overview

Provide operational and administrative support to Retail Buyers and Director of Retail Buying by tracking shipments, aligning assortment, and communicating to stores. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage weekly Hub requests by compiling customer and stock requests and assist in transfers / stock-balancing
  • Facilitate daily store product requests; review product log twice a week
  • Answer daily store email inquiries regarding stock and delivery updates
  • Communicate with stores and warehouse Ops team to expedite orders
  • Assist in allocation and order upload from warehouse locker-stock to stores 2-4x/week
  • Assist in reviewing and uploading Market orders
  • Upload bulk orders in Oracle; log orders in OTB file
  • Facilitate RTV pull-backs and track merchandise for PR, photo shoots, editorials, gifting
  • Facilitate RTV pullbacks for Wholesale events and initiatives
  • Partner with Retail Communication by preparing assortment plans by door cluster for new product launches
  • Create and compile ad hoc reports for the department including but not limited to: inserting photos, tracking sales trend, reviewing on hands
  • Assist in all aspects of Order Maintenance & Tracking in Oracle
  • Provide overall support to the Buying Team

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-2+ years’ professional experience in Buying or Planning required
  • Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced, often-changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, analytical, problem-solving and time management skills to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel) experience with advanced formulas such as VLOOKUPS
  • Capable of learning quickly and interfacing in different systems (Oracle, KWI)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • New York, NY
  • Local travel may be required periodically

Estimated Base Pay: $58,500-65,000

Base pay is one component of David Yurman’s total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.
