Context

Acts as business partner typically for a significant global function or highly diverse/ complex /global business area with high impact.

Member of Sector Staff MT. Senior management stakeholders typically up to 14/15 leader.

Acts as delegate for sector HRBP. Business insights beyond own scope is needed.

Work is subject to broadly defined policy objectives. Focus on mid-term people and organizational activities (less than 3 years). Aligns decisions with other business areas/disciplines.

Possibility of managing a team of HR BP’s (typically more than 3).

Role and responsibilities

Recognized strategic business partner with broad and deep experience. Strong emphasis on strategic & global thinking, business sense, new complex HR solutions and cross-sector influence.

  • People Strategy and Agenda

Indicates and analyses innovation and optimization opportunities. Advises key decision makers and delivers a significant and expert contribution to strategy formation for the sector.

Develops People Agenda to meet established annual objectives.

Implements, communicates and ensures adherence to HR policies, monitoring compliance and handles compliancy issues.

Makes authoritative recommendations for HR policy development.

  • Workforce / People Plan

Develops and drives People Plan for the responsible business area/function or independent business area, with a long term outlook. Contribute to the co-creation of the overarching People Plan of country/sector.

  • HR Process, Projects & Programs

Provides specialist and actionable advice to the business managers and employees in implementing HR core processes, and drives roll-out of global/sector/country programs or policy deployment driven by HR or business.

Acts as a project lead for HR projects with a change agenda on Cross-Sector or Global level, and ensures cross-sector alignment. Structurally interacts with Global cross-sector peers.

  • Workforce and Talent Management

Identifies and deploys creative workforce and talent focused solutions to support in delivering business strategy and plans, requiring integration of diverse, complex activities and close alignment with HR Expertise & People Services. Ensuring fit-for-purpose solution within the boundaries of the HR global framework.

  • Team, Leadership and Employee Development

Advise and coaches senior management teams on leadership, team dynamics and talent development. Evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize development activities at sector level. Use the ASML development framework to identify the team's development needs.

Coaches leaders on the right leadership behaviors, improves performance and fulfill personal potential.

  • Organization Design & Change Management

Co-designs change/transformation programs and shape & challenges org design based on business evolution.

Leads and delivers projects or a workstream within a change management initiative, ensuring integration with related projects, builds acceptance of change and to embed desired culture and behaviors.

  • HR Data Analytics and Insights

Develops and validates multiple hypotheses, using a wide range of HR data to diagnose underlying causes of key business issues and identify forward-looking opportunities to enhance employee engagement and/or improve business performance.

  • Internal Stakeholder Relationship Management

Independently manage relationships with strategic internal stakeholders and act as a business partner to them, building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust, and mobilizing appropriate internal and/or external resources to support in delivering business strategy and plans.

Main focus is on management of local internal and external stakeholders.

  • Employee Relations Case Management

Investigates documents and make recommendations, very complex and/or contentious Employee Relations cases (individual and/or collective) in liaison with line managers and expert advice from ER (if applicable), Legal & Compliance team. Contributes to the preparation of legal submissions and ensure all parties complete casework accurately and within deadlines.
