The Role Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Drive an effective Operational Risk Framework for Financial Market Operations

Business

  • Strong understanding of Financial Market Operations in which the group operates

Processes

  • To ensure completion of RCSA/CSTs of the Operation unit within the prescribed timelines and be responsible for the analysis and resolutions of any exceptions raised.
  • To carry out root cause analysis of errors and complaints and institute corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure proper functioning of day to day controls, periodic monitoring activities and timely resolution of risk issues
  • Manage risk issues as they occur and coordinate communication, mitigation and face off to senior stakeholders
  • Manage and co-ordinate the various regulatory and internal audits and reviews of the unit
  • Ensure that the key control standards/policies are fully implemented at all levels and add to these as applicable
  • To ensure that the regulatory changes are adequately implemented at the operational level
  • Escalation of incidents and risk issues in Operational Risk System (M7) on a timely basis
  • Real time incident reporting of issues as per group policy and appropriate escalations to various stakeholders within the bank
  • To facilitate and promote the understanding of OR and compliance requirements in the unit

  • Maintain a strong risk framework through identifying, assessing, monitoring of risks with plans to mitigate the risks for the group

Governance

  • Perform local governance through partnership with local in country stakeholders
