Nammo Defense Systems Inc., a defense contractor, manufactures and supports shoulder-fired systems; energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, medium & large caliber ammunitions, mortar ammunition; and composite solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aero-structures.

We are seeking a team oriented professional experienced in Product Lifecycle Management to serve as the NDS Mesa PLM Administrator. The candidate shall take ownership of all aspects of the Teamcenter PLM platform. This individual will serve as the onsite PLM expert and be experienced in administering, managing, and upgrading the Teamcenter PLM software.

What you will do as a Product Manager

The PLM Administrator will be responsible for maintenance and administration of product lifecycle software implementation at the NDS Mesa facility in terms of system configuration, reporting analytics, and data integrity of the PLM/PDM systems. The candidate will be highly organized & detail oriented possessing the skills to work within the Teamcenter environment including Rich Client and Active Workspace user interfaces. The PLM Administrator expectations will be set by the Director of Engineering and will work closely with the Configuration Manager. A qualified candidate will lead all PLM data integration activities, effectively & efficiently managing the Teamcenter PLM system at the NDS Mesa facility.

The PLM Administrator will be highly knowledgeable in data management throughout the product lifecycle, developing strategies in the areas of solid modeling, PLM, and CM. The individual will be responsible for maintaining, managing, and automating data. The candidate be responsible for managing the digital production definition information from concept through production lifecycle. The PLM Administrator will interface with leadership, engineering, and configuration management groups. The individual will collaborate with IT shared services leadership to provide requirements for potentially integration with other enterprise systems. The PLM Administrator will provide NDS leadership team inputs & guidance with regard to data analytics/metrics to further streamline product data management.

This position will report to the Director of Engineering

What you will do as a Product Manager

  • Manage day-to-day PLM activities including planning and oversight of product data management tools
  • Provide PLM vision for NDS Mesa managing upgrades and future PLM module / software integrations
  • Specialize in creation and modification of automated workflows streamlining current CM process
  • Be the primary PLM interface to cross functional leadership members
  • Develop & generate PLM analytics to establish/define key metrics
  • Integrate departmental data analytics in terms of products, process, and lifecycle to drive efficiency
  • Collaborate & communicate professionally with outside resources developing business relationships
  • Drive 3D model based date management transition in PLM interactive software environments
  • Take direction from Director of Engineering while working directly with Configuration Management
  • Aide in developing budgets in terms of PLM resources, software, and upgrades
  • Aide in ensuring the organization is meeting site management objectives

What do you need to qualify as a Product Manager

  • BS/MS in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar technical field
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in Defense/Aerospace Industry
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as administrator with PLM software (preferably Siemens Teamcenter)
  • Ability to communicate (written & oral) & collaborate with NDS site leadership
  • Working knowledge of PLM interaction with CAD software (Solid Edge or NX preferred)
  • Experience with implementations using multiple vendors and/or departments
  • Experience with system administration, change management, & configuration management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships
  • Ability to prioritize issue and drive progress in, at times, ambiguous situations
  • Ability to obtain BATF approval to work with our products.
