Job Title – Vice President - Architecture

The Purpose of This Role

The role will be leading a team of architects for the lead Fidelity Fund & Investment operations (FFIO) Technology organization for FMR India and is expected to have excellent architecture, design, and development skills. Along with performing people management responsibilities, individual will also contribute and lead various organization-wide technology strategies and solutions. The individual should be strong technology leader with effective delivery skills with a drive for quality and excellence.

The Value You Deliver

• Mentor and coach Architects working from FFIO India and perform people management responsibilities.
• Collaborate with other architects, technology and business leaders hands on brainstorming sessions and technical discussions to help drive optimum architecture options.
• Enable architects for senior leader presentations and building product architecture narratives for all stakeholders.
• Help Architecture team to get the understanding of Asset Management domain and context of business capability for FFIO.
• Influence and contribute towards strategy and implementation of Digital Assets (Crypto, Blockchain, Tokens) for the organization
• Lead or contribute towards defining different FFIO’s technical strategies and initiatives.
• Supports and communicates relevant IT governance policies, procedures, and processes.
• Provide leadership practicing technology trends and domain impacts with new changes.
• Contribute towards increasing capabilities of FFIO India associates and mentor tech leads.

The Skills that are Key to this role

Technical / Behavioral

• Experience with sophisticated event processing, RESTful API design, distributed architecture patterns and highly transaction trading integrations is required. Should be expert with frameworks like Spring and Angular. Drive next generation technology tools and capabilities for FFIO.
• Experience in working with complex product and models for portfolio construction will be an added advantage.
• Hands on experience in cloud technologies and practices, building data applications that use services such as AWS EC2, S3, SNS/SQS, API Gateway, AWS Batch, Lambda, Elasticsearch desired
• Expertise in Digital Assets based on Cryptos, Blockchain, Tokenization and different tokens. You are having primary understanding of developing a solution based on Blockchain.
• Well-grounded knowledge of engineering and continuous delivery practices.
• Proven leadership skills, demonstrated ability to mentor, influence and partner with application architects, engineering and product teams to deliver scalable robust data solutions. Experience coaching and guiding team of architects.
• Significant experience working in complex data environments in an engineering, design and architecture capacity.
• Proficiency at understanding enterprise architecture concepts, master data management, data modeling and design techniques.
• Strong skills and demonstrated focus in logical and component architecture design and deployment.
• Demonstrated success in composing and driving long term product strategies
• Proven knowledge and experience in Java, J2EE, RESTful web services, Apache Kafka and continuous query engines
• Strong experience in event based and message based orchestration architecture.
• Passionate about technology and delivering solutions in integrated data environments.
• Exposure to Python and R, along with Data Science and Machine Learning experience desired.
• Detailed understanding of Data Exploration, Visual Analytics concepts and tools such as Tableau.
• Hands on experience Amazon web services is desired.
• Undergraduate degree in computer science or a related field ideally combined with an advanced technical degree.

Fidelity Fund & Investment Operations Technology (FFIO Tech) is the business unit that is responsible for delivering innovative, scalable, industry-leading tools that enable the three core domains viz., Investment Operations, Global Middle Office and Fund Oversight. FFIO Technology products support and enable our front office activities within Asset Management through various critical business processes like Reference Data, Fund Performance, Cash and Positions, Net Asset Values, Tax and Shareholder Reporting. FFIO Tech India is an integral part of the global FFIO Technology organization.

You are going to lead team Architects who are playing global role and impact critical programs and initiatives of FFIO with their technology solutions.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

• 15+ years of IT experience
• Undergraduate degree in computer science or a related field ideally combined with an advanced technical degree
