Overview

Fidelity is seeking a Business Analyst as a remote employee working East Coast hours. The Business Analyst will work with business units and software development teams to review, analyze, and evaluate business needs, document requirements, define scope and objectives that support overall business strategies for Enterprise Reporting.

The Company is unable to sponsor applications for work visas.

Duties

  • Establishes relationships among key stakeholders and acts as a liaison during the design and implementation of system and process changes.
  • Works with business partners to elicit, analyze, and document business needs and objectives.
  • Prepares and organizes information into functional requirements for consumption by the software development and quality assurance teams.
  • Constructs workflows and other diagrams to support the understanding of the functional requirements.
  • Create, enforce, and monitor appropriate standards and quality procedures across the established organization.
  • Validates requirements with Product Owner, Business Stakeholders and Report Technical Team.
  • Establishes themselves as a SME of supported applications.
  • Functionally validates critical features.
  • Creates presentations and demonstrates features to internal and external audiences.
  • Creates and maintains technical user guides to facilitate the learning of applications.
  • Understands and communicates the operational impact of any changes to maintain a unified approach of solutions.
  • Writes release documentation.
  • Supports users, both UI and API.
  • Conducts operational and related research to support operations by investigating support tickets and recommending course of action.
  • Interfaces with third-party partners to support their usage of published APIs.
  • Maintains user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.

Education

BA/BS in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of working experience in business analysis.

  • Ability to distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.

  • Proficient at translating business requirements into detailed use cases.
  • Experience in data analytics and the ability to analyze data using tools such as Excel.
  • Proficient at using common Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vizio, SharePoint, Outlook).
  • Experienced with the agile development/Scrum methodology and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
  • Professional, positive, and flexible.

Additional Information

  • Title Insurance background a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft DevOps is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL, Oracle, and database design principles.
