Finance Project and Data Management Product Owner – Associate

The Firmwide Finance Business Architecture team (FFBA) is accountable for leading large-scale data, infrastructure, accounting standard and business process change management events. The team also provides a centralized program management and business analysis capability, targeted program governance, and consistent application of program management standards including system testing and change management practices.

As a member of the Banking Book Product team, you will work closely with Line of Business stakeholders, data Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), consumers and technology teams across Finance, Credit Risk & Treasury and the various Program Management teams. You will be responsible for the delivery of various projects across the traditional credit product book of work, managed through an agile framework which allows for a prioritized backlog.

Job responsibilities 

  • Drive end-to-end project discussions and develop and deliver plans for successful delivery of firmwide and LOB change events impacting Finance, Credit and Treasury reporting
  • Executions of data quality testing to validate data requirements from upstream sources have been met, in addition to providing data quality support through monitoring of data quality issues and performing root-cause analysis to aid resolution efforts
  • Owns the creation and ongoing maintenance of the Data Requirements Documents and Model Documentation which will contribute towards the goal of ensuring data is fit for consumption
  • Influence and communicate with stakeholder (business, operations, technology) relationships

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 3 years experience in related field
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with desire to submerge into the detail of a topic, issue or deliverable to understand the underlying concept
  • Self-starter; proven ability to work independently to meet deadlines
  • Ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple streams of work concurrently
  • Able to communicate effectively, drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels
  • High proficiency in key MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio), JIRA and Confluence
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor messaging to various audiences

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Experience with Agile delivery and the JIRA tool plus
  • Proficiency in project management tools, such as JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint
  • Solid understanding of Financial and/or Regulatory reporting processes; understanding of Liquidity, Credit Reporting related data is a plus
  • Knowledge and experience of traditional credit (Loans, Deposits, Cash) 
  • Previous experience in Finance, Risk or Operations functions 
  • SQL knowledge
  • Knowledge of Cloud 
  • Knowledge of Tableau or other business intelligence tools
