Overview
This position contributes to REI’s success by employing an extensive understanding of project management principles, methods, and techniques to produce a portfolio of world class omni-channel marketing. The Senior Project Manager collaborates with all levels of the organization and utilizes a high degree of autonomy and influence to successfully manage the development of membership, brand, impact, and product initiatives/campaigns/events as well as other time sensitive messaging that ladders up to our annual marketing plan.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for end-to-end oversite of multiple concurrent business critical projects that are strategically complex, high investment, cross functional, and cross-divisional in scope and scale.
- Provides oversite of omni-channel (website, mobile, email, social media – paid/organic, affiliate marketing, print ads, in-store signage, and catalogs) marketing project deliverables with-in assigned campaign/events to deliver a seamless customer experience based on campaign expectations (strategy, goals, KPIs) and brand standards.
- Accountable for strategic and tactical project leadership and workflow refinement on assigned projects; provides steadfast leadership from strategy, creative brief, and concept development through asset creation, proof of concept, and final execution/deployment to ensure on-time, on-brand, in-spec and in-budget delivery of tactics.
- Accountable for maintaining current industry knowledge and best practices across a variety of digital and social platforms including website, mobile, email, and social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.
- Accountable for timely calendaring, facilitation, and recapping of decision-making communications and meetings that include cross-functional stakeholders and Sr. Leaders to ensure brand and strategies are accurately represented, channel best practices are observed, technical and proofing requirements are met, and legal risks are mitigated.
- Key project liaison between internal, cross-divisional, and third-party partners in the management of project timelines, dependencies, issue resolution, and asset delivery. Develops and manages SOWs with Creative Agencies.
- Accountable for accurate allocation of creative resources within a project schedule to drive team member focus and efficiency. Proactively elevates resource concerns and advocates on the team’s behalf to alleviate capacity issues.
- Conducts a campaign/event post game at the close of assigned projects to identify and communicate key process wins and opportunities to management and stakeholders to inform further efforts.
- Leverages “Workfront” work management tool daily to centrally house project requirements, schedules, documentation, and resource time tracking. May lead and/or provide support relative to tool releases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in addition to 5+ years demonstrated experience as a Project/Client Manager working within a Marketing/Creative department or agency.
- 5+ years demonstrated experience concurrently managing multiple large to x-large strategically complex omni-channel marketing projects
- 5+ years working with creative teams including design, copy, production, and photo/video.
- 3+ years’ demonstrated experience leading process improvements efforts and implementing innovative solutions to solve business problems
- Demonstrated passion, knowledge, and understanding of technologies related to social, email, web and mobile platforms as well as other digital media trends and capabilities.
- Demonstrated passion, knowledge, and understanding of trends and capabilities related print advertising including print ads, instore signage, and catalogs.
- Extremely organized and highly accountable
- Proven knowledge and application of Project Management principles and methodology
- Demonstrated strong leadership and proven ability to straddle big picture strategy and downstream tactics
- Ability to build and foster strong relationships within and outside of the organization from individual contributors to senior leadership
- Consolidates information from various sources including feedback from others to resolve project issues and reach sound business decisions
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office business applications
- Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro

Base Pay Range
USD $83,700.00 - USD $134,000.00 /Yr.
