The Dr. Richard J. Bellucci Translational Hearing Center at Creighton University is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to strengthen our research program. Our Center utilizes translational approaches to auditory and vestibular disorders including development of ototherapeutics, genomic and non-genomic etiologies of hearing loss, research audiology, and vestibular sciences. We feature state of the art research core technology, leading faculty, a highly competitive salary, and numerous opportunities for research and travel funding.

This fellowship is generously supported by the Bellucci De-Paoli Family Foundation.

Requirements:

  • PhD, MD, or a PhD/MD required
  • Must demonstrate significant research accomplishment and scholarly promise
  • Commit to conducting leading hearing research

Required application materials:

1. A ONE-page essay [~250 words] demonstrating their commitment to hearing research and a project that merits this fellowship. This essay should include:

  • A preliminary research plan, hypothesis, or major question.
  • A member of Center faculty whose lab is appropriate for your research interest. (current Center faculty are listed here). 

2. A biosketch (e.g., NIH Biosketch) that includes tangible products that support your appointment. These may include but are not limited to:

i. Publications

ii. Grant applications submitted and grants received

iii. Patents

iv. Podium and poster presentations

v. Professional development and career preparation

vi. Volunteer experience

3. Names and contact emails of three professional references who can provide a confidential letter of recommendation that speaks to their ability to conduct exceptional postdoctoral hearing research at a leading auditory-vestibular neuroscience institution. At least one reference should be outside the applicant’s current institution.
