The Deposit Protection Service (DPS) is the division within Computershare responsible for administering 4 Tenancy Deposit Protection Schemes across the United Kingdom. These schemes have been created to securely protect tenants’ deposits within a Government approved scheme in line with legislation for the duration of a tenancy. 

The Senior Administration Support Team Member role operates within this division at a regional level, requiring close collaboration with other teams within the DPS Business, Operations DPS Contact Centre and TSG. 

The role is responsible for the direct leadership of 4 team members, as well as overseeing Quality Assurance responsibilities and supporting the Business Support Senior Administrators with various senior tasks and workloads that sit within the Business Support Team but not limited to:

  • Completing KPI/performance reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Handling SARs and ensuring any requests are completed before the relevant deadlines. 
  • Answering both written and verbal queries from clients and colleagues, providing accurate written and verbal guidance.
  • Demonstrating excellent knowledge on all procedures contained within the Administration Support Team and across the wider business.
  • Able to work effectively, independently and to strict deadlines.
  • Completing any ad-hoc project work effectively and supporting the Business Support Senior Administrators with any delegated work.
  • Ensuring that all workloads and tasks within the Administration Support team are managed in accordance with internal service level agreements. 
  • Managing the effective administration of the Statutory Declaration, Bulk Upload and Deposit Cap work.
  • Ensure effective management of Quality Assurance responsibilities.
  • Working with relevant staff/management/teams to drive process enhancements.

A role you will love 

Reporting to the Business Support Manager, this role will primarily involve leading a small team of administrators and dealing with day to day queries that are escalated by members of the Team. The Senior Administration Support Team Member ensures that all workloads and tasks within the team are managed in accordance with internal service level agreements. 

Further responsibilities of the role includes the completion of the Quality Assurance responsibilities that sit across the Business Administration function and supporting the Business Support Senior Administrators with tasks such as managing UAT responsibilities, generation of KPI/performance reports (including reports for Government), handling of Subject Access Requests and the management of ad-hoc project related work. 

What will you bring to the role? 

You require a general knowledge of the rental industry, excellent knowledge of all internal procedures across the Administration Support Team, with a broader and thorough knowledge of other processes carried out within the DPS division. 

You must display an awareness of compliance to procedures and regulatory requirements. The role requires a thorough understanding of the DPS as a whole, from customers wishing to register an account, registering, and releasing deposits through to accounts being closed and personal data being deleted. Excellent knowledge of the overriding responsibilities of the team is required, along with a good understanding of all individual processes. 

You will be required to lead a small team, supporting the completion of regular 1:1s and also supporting team members with day to day queries. The role requires good attention to detail, specifically in relation to the processes and procedures carried out within both the Administration Support and Business Support teams, which will be crucial when dealing with Quality Assurance responsibilities. Good decision-making skills are required with the willingness to support the Business Support Senior Administrators. 

You have had a direct impact on the successful execution of processes carried out within the Administration Support Team, as well as the successfullness of the Quality Assurance processes. The role requires the ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders.The role holder must have very good communication skills adapting to a diverse range of audiences, across all mediums, good organisation, and attention to detail skills as well as a proven ability to drive customer service. The role holder will be able to extract information quickly and thoroughly, be flexible in their approach to work, work well under pressure and be able to work to tight deadlines.
