Overview

Summary

As a Talent and Development Business Partner, your primary responsibility is to support our production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You provide support and coordination in the implementation and effective application of Human Resources policies, procedures and practices for all team members. Responsibilities include employee relations, health and safety, recruiting, training, time and attendance management and other tasks as required. Prior human resources experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Actively work as a liason between the Operations, Talent and Development teams and the team members (full-time and from placement agencies)
  • Partner with the Leadership to drive strategic growth within the Talent and Development team
  • Oversee all communications with employment agencies and assist operations, shift, group and team leaders in establishing relationships with all team members
  • Oversee implementation of Wonderbrand policies, protocols and new initiatives, and communicate details
  • Work with the Health and Safety team and promote a culture of Health and Safety by participating in training and committee meetings
  • Review resumes and coordinate interviews with team members, operations managers to ensure candidates fill key positions
  • Work closely with each plants Operations Managers to determine their current and future staffing needs
  • Track and monitor all request from temporary employment agencies
  • Manage all training documents for key roles
  • In collaboration with all key stakeholders, investigate and resolve all issues
  • In collaboration with leadership assist and participate in the process of progressive discipline
  • Work with leadership to assist and participate in performance reviews related to team members
  • Participate in projects as required
  • Manage and participate in the internal job creation posting
  • Drive team member engagement and implement initiatives to make improvements

Requirements

  • At least six years of experience in a similar position.
  • Post-secondary studies in Human Resources or a related field
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of HR policies, Procedures, benefits and Labour relations
  • Proven skills in the use of MS Office and productivity tool, and working knowledge of HR information system
  • Experience in Health and Safety initiatives
  • Manufacturing experience required
  • Management experience
