Overview

Serves as subject matter expert of assigned technology domains within VNS Health. Oversee and determine delivery of the strategy and roadmap for their product(s) to achieve desired business outcomes and objectives within an Agile Software Development Life Cycle framework. Coordinate technology teams, internal clients, and other business stakeholders to set priorities, and manage Plan, Build and Run processes, and participate in the long-term strategic planning of the development and implementation of features for assigned platforms, maintaining the product backlog and leading initiatives to support product evolution.

Compensation Range:$109,900.00 - $146,500.00 Annual

  • Leads and oversees Agile project teams to ensure effective planning and execution of portfolio projects. Tracks project progress, identifies and mitigates risks, and facilitates communication to maintain alignment between project teams and stakeholders throughout product lifecycles.
  • Establishes alignment between the platform vendor roadmap and VNS Health’s broad business objectives that a technology product, platform features will fulfill, articulates the various steps for a product build, and facilitates team activities to turn that vision into a reality.
  • Develops a deep understanding of business goals and processes to inform product priorities and improvement recommendations.
  • Develops strong relationships and regularly communicate with all levels of management and customers to shape product strategy and prioritize needs.
  • Leads the coordination of activities to integrate workflows, design, interfaces, data, development, test & QA, InfoSec, Risk & Compliance and all other system-based project management responsibilities.
  • Allocates staff and resources as needed to achieve project objectives with reference to assigned product or platform.
  • Contributes to translating business requirements into actionable product and technical requirements. Performs the role of Product Owner role for each of the assigned products.
  • Understands data and system interdependencies and ensures that changes are made across systems when necessary. Understands and ensures that refinement or changes of business model and business priorities are reflected in project plan and communicated to all affected parties.
  • Leads, manages and coordinates technical staff across different project teams using Agile Scrum methodology and manages accountability of all parties to meet committed milestones and deliverables.
  • Collaborates with business participants; understands their objectives and constraints, communicates with both business and technical participants, and forms a coordinated team aligned for successful execution of the projects related to the specific product or platform.
  • Ensures that operational and technical decisions are finalized in time to meet committed project timeframes and aligned with Architecture Governance process.
  • Manages risk, and ensures alignment and adherence to corporate, financial and IT standards (e.g., architecture, compliance, security).
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Licenses and Certifications:

Scrum Certified Product Owner certification preferred

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience, required

Work Experience:

Minimum 5 years of product and/or project management and systems integration experience required Ability to surface, prioritize, and balance multiple stakeholder priorities Prior experience with Agile SLDC methodology required Proven track record in managing multiple IT projects that impact core business operations required Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a cross-functional environment required Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and team building skills, business judgment and proven expertise in directing the efforts of technical staff which may or may not report directly to position required. Proficiency using software to manage project and project workflows required Experience using SQL (mandatory), Python, R or other data analysis tools required Health care industry experience preferred
