The Design Director at SOREL will lead a team of industrial designers across footwear categories of men’s, women’s, and kids. This individual is responsible for leading the concept, visual identity, and visual execution of product design. You will work in partnership with product management, product development, and color/materials design. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of the fashion and athletic marketplace, and extensive footwear knowledge across various product types and constructions. A strong sense and eye for identifying trends and a proven ability to translate high-level inspiration into relevant designs is expected. This candidate has the ability to know where the consumer is heading with an informed understanding of what is now and what is next. The Design Director – Industrial Design oversees and drives organizational fundamentals that respect the product calendar and industrial design expectations. This leader is motivational and clear to the Design team and collaborates with cross-functional departments across the brand.
