We’re looking for a Marketing Science Lead to drive scaled adoption of measurement practices for a wide variety of Chinese performance advertisers as part of the Measurement Team at Snap Inc! We are a team of scientists, and researchers who work in a highly collaborative environment, using our suite of tools and ad products to improve the performance of Snap's advertising platform and drive increased value for our customers.

What you’ll do:

  • As an individual contributor role the person will be responsible to build measurement programmes for the large portion of the China business to drive our products and planning best practices. 
  • In addition this person will also be expected to use advanced data analytic techniques to identify the performance drivers for the campaigns including product performance, auction performance etc across Ecommerce, Gaming verticals and provide inputs for hypothesis testing to the respective vertical marketing science leaders. 
  • Be the primary driver of performance improvement across our top advertisers leveraging a programmatic approach with a mix learning-agenda strategies, experimental design, causal analytics, and ads efficacy solution testing.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to identify, test, and scale new ad products, features and solutions that have a positive impact on advertiser value.
  • Lead the scoping and development of custom multi-study meta analysis in partnership with Data Science and R&D to understand the relative impact of different marketing strategies across digital platforms and media.
  • Build measurement capability and advocacy across your vertical and with cross-functional partners.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to structure and conduct analyses to generate insight and recommendations
  • Ability to influence senior leadership through presentation of clear and concise insights and recommendations. 
  • Understanding of measurement concepts, solutions, and underlying statistical fundamentals leveraged in the ads efficacy and measurement ecosystem
  • Subject matter expertise in at least one of the following areas and familiarity with both; experimental design (sig testing, power calculation, sample design) or econometrics modeling
  • Deep expertise with at least one of the advanced analytical tools (e.g. SQL, R, Python)
  • Ability to run and execute SQL queries across a large data set. 
  • Ability to run drivers analysis using data science techniques : Multivariate linear regression, Random Forest regression etc
  • A strong understanding of Snapchat and the digital advertising and measurement ecosystem

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field or equivalent years of experience
  • 6+ years of advanced analytics and measurement experience within a technology company, media agency, consulting firm, advertiser, or research company
  • Experience with ads measurement in user growth and acquisition or eCommerce
  • Ability to run and execute SQL queries across a large data set.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in business, math, statistics, economics, engineering or a related quantitative field
  • Direct work experience with top performance advertisers within the China market
  • Direct work experience in analyzing large advertising auction data sets to identify performance best practices.
